I Guess There Needs To Be A MMP

Got to stay extra today to help with rewraps and damages.

Nah, GG is a perfect fit for MMP Mascot.

Sounds good. Go for it(assuming supervisor isn’t a idiot).

Next you need to work in “I’ll get you, and your little dog too!”

Me: < points and laughs >
Also me: sleeps wrong, ends up crippled for a week. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Gordie is in the same boat. :frowning: < gives boy extra skrtiches >

Roasted garlic is wonderful, but I know something better. Put a nice brie in an oven bowl, put a slab of butter on top of the brie and sprinkle with garlic. Put on a baking sheet with a couple of elephant garlic cloves and roast. When everything is almost hot, put some sliced french bread on the cookie sheet and turn the broiler on to crisp everything up.

Spread the garlic on the bread, then dip it into the melted brie.

You can thank me later

I didn’t want to be the first one to say it, LOL!!!

Hubs has started playing the Bright Red Dot of Joy with GG before he starts cooking beer. Five minutes of chasing the BRDoJ will leave GG sitting in the last spot he saw the BRDoJ for at least half an hour. I’ve tried to distract GG by picking him up and carrying him into another room, but he just HAS to go back and wait for the BRDoJ to reappear.

I tend to be amazed that he can focus that long, but you do what works, right?

And he still has the energy to protect you from the evil golf cart. You should be honored!!!

Our old cat mostly dresses up the bedroom window, but still protects his slaves from the oversized fuzzbutt. Every time GG* forgets that there is a monster on the other side of the baby gate, little old cat yells at him and pulls his fur out and oh, the screams of fear and rage are terrible. I’m kinda wondering if our little old cat somehow came from Ukraine, we never knew he had that much fight in him.

*about once a month.

Jane, I love garlic and I love brie. I may have to try that.

Skritches to all of the little, or not so little, fuzzbutts out there.

swampy Didn’t nap in the shop, but will be billing for a couple hours of clean-up. Seems I’m required to be onsite tomorrow. More hours. I’ll take some pics.

Jane the cane I usually wrap the whole garlic cloves in some foil with a little olive oil, maybe some salt, for this and let it go for like a half hour. Does your method get them all nice and smooshy? Sounds easier than mine.

Also take a lunch, the way this is going.

I keep going back to this sentence and telling myself “Don’t ask, don’t ask, pray that someone else asks.” I’ll probably ask tomorrow if you don’t fold under the pressure.

Evening all. Got my weights and pedaling in at the gym then watched soccer on the tube, then did a couple of “Goalie 101” clinics for some 8-9 year olds (forgot that getting that age to concentrate on anything for longer than, say, 3 seconds, is a lot of work), so that was the evening exercise. Dinner has been assimilated and off to bed shortly.

Have read all but between exercise and it being nearly 11pm here, I’ve comprehended little except the MMP pet brigade has been noteworthy.

Catch up with y’all Firday.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave.

[Mos Eisley Thug]I have the death sentence in 12 systems.[/Mos Eisley Thug]

this is for all the cheese heads …

And I woke at 3:30 for no apparent reason. I read a couple of hours before dragging my carcass into the shower. Now I’m dressed, fed, caffeinating, and surfing, having tended the critters. I’ll head out a bit after 7 to get Roxy to school by 8. It’s so weird watching her in her pink backback with her pink lunch box climbing the steps into her school (I can’t escort her because I have Toby in the car…) She’s still only 3 (for one more week) but she seems so much older! Next thing you know, I’ll be watching her brother do the same thing…

A week from today, we’ll be cruising down the east coast, heading for Port Canaveral - our first stop where we won’t debark. We definitely won’t go into Nassau, but we might go to RCCL’s private Coco Cay, just to look around, and if FCD is up to it, I might like to go to Charleston again - weather dependent, of course. We shall see… But that’s for later. Now we’re just looking at a chilly-ish weekend and I’m hoping to get some of the yard cleaned up. Good times!

I saw a sack of frozen ravioli in the top freezer rack - I think I’ve decided on supper. One less decision.

Happy Firday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 46 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of
< snerk > 69! < snerk > and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I shall call the pharmacy to get ‘scripts refilled this mornin’ and then go pick ‘em up. The pharmacy is really good about gettin’ ‘scripts ready fast. That will be today’s interaction with the public. Beyond that major sloth and uselessness will rule the day. We have a coupon from Cap’n D’s so that will be used for sup. Pickin’ that up will be OYKW’s interaction with the public.

red shall we cross appropriate/inappropriate appendages?

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Blurf. There’s a cat dozing on my lap, and I gotta go into irk shortly. That’s … it from my end, really.

Oh, looks like I’m off tomorrow, so I actually get a sorta-weekend with you normal folk.

Well, I’ve seen far fewer fights break out at Taco Bell, if that answers your question. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like your idea for the snack (or meal, depending upon inclination) unknown. Anything that involves garlic and cheese can’t be bad.

Any appendages that you wish to cross will be appreciated swampy.

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, a load of towels / sheets ready for the dryer and a load of jeans on deck (just like most Fridays). Once the apartment is clean and groceries bought, I’ll likely either take the little reddish dog to the dog park or mess around in the studio, depending upon the rain situation. I have a 5 PM appointment to get the taxes done and will likely pick supper up at either the Chinese place next door to H&R Block or the Mexican place two doors down.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

@JaneDoe42

The girls acted as if I was not there at all. The same for the guy with the liquor delivery and the UPS guy. They just ignored us. I tried to avoid it by using the front entrance hallway but it was locked off. I went out into that hall to test detection and ended up having to go outside and walk around the building to get back in.

Congratulations, Misnomer!! That is some serious accomplishment!

I’m sitting here still in my PJs, praying for sloth. So far I have no meetings on the calendar (except the garage guy to come fix a busted door opener engine…and hopefully replace it), but usually when I start to rejoice, things go downhill. One way or the other, I’m leavin’ early for our race packets. Now that I work from home, the world is much smaller and I feel like I need to pack snacks when I drive longer than 5 miles away.

It’s rainy and reverted back to the 30s F last night. Still considering going out to waddle. Husband is on the treadmill. Even though it’s gross and cold, I love the contrast between grey and bright spring green.

Guess I’d better pretend to work.

Irking. On my second cuppa joe.

I got my computer back from the Mac store yesterday. The keyboard replacement was covered under a recall, even though the computer is a year or two out of warranty. I’ve updated Microsoft Remote Desktop, and I’ve updated the OS to Monterey. Now I need to copy the files on my new ‘backup’ computer onto the old computer. Then I’ll have to figure out how to use two computers. Plan A is to use the older 15-inch one, and to keep the new 13-inch one as a backup or for traveling. I’ll also have to come up with a scheme to keep the files on both machines the same. (I save one spreadsheet to iCloud, so at least that one’s easy.)

It’s too dull here, so I’ve started doing laundry, because that’s the sort of wild woman I am!! Plus I want time free this weekend to do some yard work. With luck, I can get all 4 loads done today. Especially if the babby continues to nap!

Good morning everyone.

It’s my RDO so I gave myself the luxury of staying in bed until just after six and was immediately PO’d at myself because I’d wasted prime goof-off time.

It’s wet outside and supposed to rain off and on all weekend. I should have mowed the lawn yesterday. Oh well.

I am trying to decide between a day of sloth or a day to take care of errands so I can have a full sloth day on Sunday. I have my normal chores to accomplish this weekend, but other than that, I don’t have anything on the agenda. I want to get to the mall to buy a new outfit for each of the grands as part of their Easter basket. I already have the baskets and some treats ready to go, but one needs a new spring/summer outfit, you know. I did this every year when my kids were little too.

Polar is around 15 years old and is an old man. He still becomes playful and I love it when I see his play stomp and bow. He was doing that when Zoe came to visit last weekend. He was even barking, which startled Zoe, unfortunately. For the most part, though, he just lies around either basking in the sun or the rain and then demands snacks at various times. He still gets excited over doggy ice cream and will run back and forth between me and the husband after he’s finished dinner to let us know it’s ice cream time. He spins in circles and really starts talking as we open the freezer drawer with the ice cream.

I will have to get to the bird feed store either today or tomorrow though because I need a bag of the seed they love the most and it’s almost time to fill that particular feeder. I have enough for one, maybe two refills, and then I’m out.

Sending yays, boos, hugs, as appropriate. I hope you all have a terrific day!

Morning all. Up at 6am to micturate, figured that was too early and laid back down figuring I’d get another hour or two…finally got up at 10am… Like FCM, got a load of laundry started, need to do 3-4 more today or over the weekend, we’ll work it in. Also signed up for four (4!!) refereeing jobs tomorrow, all U10 so only 50 minute games on short fields, but will still be a test if all this exercise I have been doing pays off. Which reminds me, need to leave time today for the 3rd swimmin’ and sauna session of the week.

FCM, checked in for my cruise out of Seattle next month, room 6159 awaits me.

Taters, here’s a choice; be slothful both days (hey, works for me…). A skritches for Polar.

OK, need to stir up some Instant Breakfast (Carnation calls it ‘Breakfast Essentials’ now, but it’s always Instant Breakfast to me. All y’all have a good Firday.

Well…I went out for my little waddle and was soon in the midst of a snow/hail storm. 'Twas delightful and pointy. Glad I had my glasses - they’re like tiny windshields.
