I hate being a redhead!

Trying to find a new job.

Go shopping for interview clothes.

And every fucking thing is either lavender or pink or baby blue or some other shade that looks absofuckinlutely ATROCIOUS on me!!!

And it’s the same story every year.

I end up buying black, and more black, and more black. I reckon about 90% of my work-suitable wardrobe is black. And I don’t even LIKE black, that much.

WHEN THE FUCK ARE FOREST GREEN AND BROWN GOING TO COME BACK???

sigh

Lads, how do you think I’d look as a brunette?

Hmm, I think you should perhaps stick with the Red hair and wear black untill Forest green comes into season. =) Would be such a shame to destroy perfectly good red hair.

But this seems more of an IMHO…I could be wrong though, IM just a newbie… (insert smiley face here…still dont know how)

Nooooooo!!!
There’s a shortage of fabulously beautiful redheads in the world as it is! Please keep it just the way it is…

…although I have developed quite the appreciation for stunningly gorgeous raven haired women lately as well

::wanders off humming “Black is the Color” and “Roisin Dubh”…::

You’d look like an unhappy redhead forced to make chemical changes to her outward appearance in order to bow down to the fascist corporate image chowderheads.

And probably pretty nice.

Here’s the thing: forest green and brown will come back in to fashion when hip, trendy, cool people start wearing it.

That’s a hint, by the way.

You can always go to work nekkid.

Sua

I think you should move. Have you considered any large, American cultural/financial centers on the east coast? You’d fit right in, as soon as we taught you the whole “regular = with milk, not black” thing and how to selece a bagel.

Now that’s just taking casual day way too far.

I just looked down and noticed that I’m wearing black slacks and a grey shirt. Guess I’m not one to talk.

Blue should look lovely on a redhead—what shade of red?

eh… sort of a light auburn. Dark blue and turquoise are fine, it’s the baby blues that don’t work, and those seem to be the fashion now.

And thanks for the suggestion manhattan, but been there, done that!

Manhattan: “how to selece a bagel”

Is this some weird East Coast thing?

i’m not entirely sure that i want to know.

Heh. No, that is just a small part of what is known as “manny’s typo day.”

Select.

Where? Over there? Sheesh, what happened to the classic Irish earth tones, which go fabulously with red hair? When did Ireland’s fashion sense get lost? Baby blue? PINK? For grown women? {shudder}

Yeah, black is pretty much de riguer over here. Picked my daughter up after the homecoming dance and there were so many people in black that I thought it was a funeral.

Forest green? Christ almighty, no situation is that dire.

I don’t know in what direction the fashion wind is currently blowing in Ireland, but 'round here, one gets the impression that brown is, indeed, in at the moment. (I get that impression because I see models wearing fly brown suits all the damn time, but can find nary a one in my price range. So I got charcoal grey. Again. But I digress.)

I’m failing to see a problem with baby blue, by the way. Pink and lavender I understand, but I see no problem, in my mental Pantone chart, with baby blue and the hair color you describe. Which sort of leads directly to the assumption that I’ve got the color wrong in my head, I suppose.

A link for anybody who hasn’t had the pleasure of meeting the fair ruadh in person.

I really like your hair but if it’s giving you fashion hassles  IMHO brunette would work just grand.

What’s wrong with black anyway? I love being in Johnny Cash mode.

Redheads are hot! Particularly when they are dressed in black.

What’s the problem???

spooje is right. redheads are hot.

Ruadh, we could always go shopping in Oxfam if you want. pick up all last years fashions

Or, you could just not go into Miss Selfridge
tell you what. If you get the new job, I’ll spend an entire day going shopping with you. even shoe shopping.
Word is bond.

I actually like to wear some shades of pink (the icier, subtler tones) and I have red hair. I like all colors, though and forest green is one of my favorites. But I see your point - it’s hard to find the right shades that don’t make you look ill. But DON’T change your hair color. There are tons of women here who make their hair red. What irony that you have it and want to get rid of it!

Have you considered moving? Pretty much anything goes out here and you can easily find the colors you’re looking for!

Moving ? Because the right colours aren’t fashionable ??

Chap’s, we might share the same planet with them but beyond that………I just don’t know!

Anyone think my feet look big in brown ?

yeah, your feet look big in brown. After all, brown is the new purple.
Then again, you should want your feet to look big

Thumb and forefinger sir?
