I have changed my avatar

Personal stuff. I adopted the flying pig persona from the beginning of being on here (although a different version). I feel that it is now important to be more clear about who I am.

I like it. (but I also like the flying pig)

Interestingly, I was one of those who opposed avatars in the old days. Now I find them fun and a little useful.

Looks good!

I like it, but I’d make the sky transparent for the flag to pop more on the page.

I can usually connect the poster to the avatar, better than I’d thought I could. So thanks for the heads up!

I’ll miss the flying pig but, yeah, I like it.

j

Good point. I’ll see if my mad skillz are up to it.

eta: there, how’s that?

So you can’t fly anymore? Sad!

I was guilty of false advertising. I’m not really pink either.

Damn, if I knew I could have all the powers of my avatar I’d…

Wait a minute, my avatar is a shapeshifting immortal master of darkness. Albeit at the moment in the shape of a frog. I can live with that.

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

As for @Roderick_Femm’s new avatar, one of the nice perks of the internet is being able to be who or what you want to be, without prior labels. If it works for you, go for it!

Your real name is Roy G. Biv?

I like it.

Fuck bigots.

Yes! That’s much brighter and eye-catching.

I have to admit a brain fart about the avatar background - since I use a dark theme, it didn’t make much difference to me in terms of ‘popping’. And then I saw it on my non-signed in tablet and the white blended well with the default white background and it made the flag more prominent instead of just a “standard” bubble/circle avatar.

Not real long ago, I added a transparent avatar from my LiveJournal days, because I was sick of seeing a big F.

Yeah, it’s best to use a transparent background in the avatar, since you don’t know what theme others might use. That’s rather advanced graphics work, though.

San Francisco fog tan.

ETA: I can’t do any better than …

Nice. I like it!
