I kinda need some computer help....

I have a friend who has a packard bell with this app called Packard Bell Navigator, and she seems to have lost the password.

I’ve never seen this app before and need to get rid of the password- anybody have any clues on this? I tried to re-install, but got a file in use error. Is there a way to blow away the prefs?

Any help would be appreciated.

Uninstall it first? Didja look in the help file (it’s a stretch, but it could have a solution :))

[hijack] Where’s my shirt, tie-dye boy? [/hijack]

I’m working on the shirt this weekend- It’s been busy outside the asylum. I’m unsure of where to install the thing from, but mebbie a restore cd of some kind…

uninstall it and delete everything from the registry, then reinstall it (or not, sounds like a useless navigator program for newbies.)

umm, when I say delete everything from the registry, I mean everything related to THAT program. RegClean.exe does a good job of this.

Thank you xizor. It is a useless navigator program for newbies. I’m not sure where to install it from though. I’ll check the pac-bell site though.

Nothing special, at http://www.google.com/
enter “Packard Bell Navigator password” no quotes, youll have your info…I don’t think you get the password itself but it shows you info on what to do.

Thanks Handy! I found the info I was looking for. All I have to do is delete the c:
av
av.inf file (though I’ll probably try editing it first).
