Last night I went to see the play,
“A Day In the Death of Joe Egg” in NYC.
Eddie Izzard was the lead role, and he did an amaizing job with the roll.
My SO is obsessed with him… He is on her “Celebs I am allowed to have sex with” list…
Well after the play we stuck around to meet him, he seemed to be in a rush… and I felt bad because the people in front of us asked him for like 5 pictures… and started saying quotes from his stand-up routine…
He even said to them, “I’m sorry… I have no idea what you are talking about”
lol… that was funny…
Then it came time for my SO to get her program signed… I could tell she was so nervous… it was cute…
but she walked right up and told him that she was a huge fan, and that he did a wonderfull job in the play, and he seemed like he actually cared when he said thank you to her…
I know he is an actor… but he really came across like a nice person…
He was very good in Cats Meow…
but I never really understood who he was until I saw a tape of his stand-up… he had me laughing for about an hour and a half straight…
My SO just gave me a call this morning…
her …“Wemetedeasyerlastnigh”
me… “what the hell did you just say? we met last easter?”
her “WE MET EDDIE IZZARD LAST NIGHT”
me… “lol… yes we did…”
she is still excited… gotta love that… I am glad he waited there to talk to people…
All of the other actors left… and then he invited us back inside…
kind of surreal… I guess…
I’m very jealous!
