She has a plan. He’s done this before so I don’t know why she trusts him to handle the bills.

Moooom, my condolences to you and your friend’s family. Flying when we were young wasn’t nearly as stressful, so, yeah, it was fun.
doggio, I wasn’t the one who won the tickets anyway, so go to irk. 
They guy who won them was a really nice guy who, while a fan, only treated himself to a couple of games a year because he has family responsibilities and the budget constraints that go with it. I’m happy he won.
I talked to my sister up north today. We’re beginning to shop for an assisted living facility for Dad now. We’ve also arranged for a home health aide to assist him with bathing. He’s talking about giving up driving because he gets drowsy at night. I think an assisted living apartment might do him good. It would be at the county seat where he’ll have access to public transportation and the social opportunities tend to be up his alley.
I knocked off around 2 today, bought groceries, took Nelson to the dog park where he got to play with some of the regular pups there. We had Popeye’s for supper. I’s tahred.
We’re shopping for an assisted living place for my MiL too. Our first choice is a Mennonite Village retirement community quite near to us. She is very devout, and they have daily devotions. She’ll have someone on hand to look in on her, and a shuttle bus to run her all over town. We’ll be able to see her regularly, plus she’ll have the whole community on hand. She’s very social and has felt very lonely of late. We’re hoping to bring her out here the second week in May.
Hikken is roasting. We shall have that, and mashed N.O.T. and corn.
Are we allowed to point & shake our head(s) disparagingly?

I should make something for dinner but I’m not really hongry; after getting some good sunset shots I took a dinosaur out for an appropriately named Jurassic Chomp blizzard; I et most of it. 
I need to pack & hit the hay because I has to leaves un-Ogly early.
My winnign streak at the VFW trivia was broken tonight. By Team Mentally Challenged.:dubious: Home now, and watching hockey.

Heading off to bed, mowing the lawn plus coaching soccer makes me a tired lad. Plus I have to be up at 6:30am tomorrow, we have team pictures at 8:00am. So of course, thunderstorms and assorted weather mayhem is predicted…we shall see.
Well Firday the Thirteenth struck Da Jungle with three dock doors down, a late truck and some various other issues but we managed and I’ve been home since a little after ten. And the next two days AMUSEMENT PARKS!!! So all is basically right with the world.
It’s stupid early and I’m wide awake after a disturbing dream. I’ll fall back asleep soon but I need to distract a bit. I hate creepy-weird dreams.
The windows are open and it’s still quite warm. Even with the fan on… Yeah, I’m gonna love Fl.
Time to try sleep again. <yawn>

YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out and “fair” accordin’ to TWPTB, which means I look up at the sky and see the stars, with a predicted high of 87 and N.O.S. for the day. Rain moves in tonight and tomorrow’s high will be 70 Amurrkin. Weather be weird! The big plan today is to go and help JDD and Partner with yahd irk in large and in charge Parrott. Rah. Oh and Mexican comestibles. YAY! I suspect this afternoon will involve sloth and any suppage will be via forage.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Also I shall need to rouse OYKW from sleepyland in a bit. Then, onward into the day!

swampy, I agree about not liking to fly. It’s cramped and so many fellow travelers are buttholes. But such is life.

OK, I’ve showered and dressed, finished packing, tended the critters, and cleaned the cat box. I ran to WaWa for a sammich and a big Diet Coke. In a little bit, I’ll clean the critter fountain, wipe down the guest bathroom, and run the vacuum. I also need to close the windows in the master bedroom and bath, but I’ll leave the rest open a bit - Baby Engineer can deal with them if it gets chilly.
He’s supposed to get here later this afternoon. He’s got stuff to do at home and he’ll be helping his dad, but he said he’d get here before Higgs needs to be fed. I asked him to text us when he gets to the house. I’ll be in a real pickle if something happens to him. But let’s not think about that right now…
Maybe my kid will be in labor when I get there.

It’s N.O.S. and 66 degrees outside.
It’s supposed to get into the low 80s today and then the temps drop down into the 50s and 40s.
I have lots to do today, I took one look at the list and want to go back to bed.
I think some breakfast would help, and some caffeine.
All my chores are done. I’ll leave in about 30 minutes. I hope I haven’t forgotten anything.
I also wish I’d booked an earlier flight, but this one seemed like a good idea at the time. Oh well…

My plans to go to the plant sale are shot because it’s pouring down rain. The temps are still nice, so I have the front door and a couple of windows open. I think I’ll fart around in the studio today or, maybe go shopping.
Blurfage Irking.Three more hours and I can have a day off. This working all the time is getting old. Why do I need money and insurance? If it weren’t for those two things I would quit.
Any way, Louie took the day off, the slackard.

Went out to the soccer fields about 7:45am with a looming storm down the road, the rain made them close up the team pictures, but it then stopped just about 8:30am and we got to play a half of soccer (we won 3-2) before the really nasty stuff moved in and closed up down for good. Still pouring outside and tunder-boomers are on the schedule for this afternoon, but I’m warm and comfy.
I’ve flown so much (mostly for work) that it’s more routine than bother, but being cooped up for 3-14 hours can wear on a person. reminds me, need to book a flight to Peking; be terrible to have a vacation and no way of getting there (no slow boats to China anymore…)

Oh I know where you are coming from. I’ve worked sixty-three and one quarter hours in the last seven days. Sunday I have off but I have to go in way early on Monday.
Howdy Y’all! Busy mornin’ but we got the yahd in Parrott in shape. Well, looks a lot better anywho. Had a nice N.O.L. followed by a visit with Miss Becky. JDD accepts the fact that she won’t be with us much longer and says his sis has as well. Still a tough thing to deal with though. This afternoon nappage was accomplished as we were tahrd when we got back to da cave.

Rain is supposed to be here tonight and tomorrow. If it’s especially icky in the mornin’ we shall debate whether or not to deheathenate. The older I get the less inclined I am to drive in ick weather if not absolutely necessary.
Worked, came home, 3 hours into the 9 hour hockey playoff marathon.
