I miss scott evil, as I’ve said before. And although the poster’s not missing, I never seem to run into **Duck Duck Goose’s **posts anymore, but I don’t know why.
I thought Liberal just changed his handle. It gets kinda hard to keep track of these things after a while.
Personally, I miss manhattan - I rarely agreed with him, but he was intelligent and entertaining.
I miss Roger Thornhill.
I miss Sampiro.
I will second **Sampiro ** and I especially miss Winston Smith.
Winston Smith just came back today.

I don’t think I’ve seen Satisfying Andy Licious around for a while. I know there’s a reason for it, but I can really notice **Excalibre’s ** absence too.
I was thinking about one of the “Ask the…” threads today, when I realized that Exprix, the Origingal “Ask the” guy, doesn’t post here anymore.
How sad for us.
I didn’t realize any of these people except Liberal ad Manhattan had stopped posting. When did Esprix, Excalibre, and SentientMeat leave?

I miss chat. The old days of chat, when we’d have dozens of intelligent, witty dopers flinging words around at breakneck speed. When you could follow maybe two or three of the seven or eight conversations going on, if you concentrated really hard. All of the chatters back then are long gone now. This isn’t meant to denigrate the current crop of chatters at all - they’re all great. There are just a lot fewer of us hardheaded, stubborn, refuse-to-give-up-on-it types, and there’s not as much to say any more.
I remember seeing 70-80 dopers in there at a time, and now we’re lucky to get more than three people actually talking instead of just lurking.

He posted a while back that he could no longer post from work, and his child duties at home would severely restrict his posting. I don’t think he has left; we’ll have to see when re-up time rolls around.
