I Pit Daily Kos and the Shameful, Disgraceful Lies About The Republican Platform

Un-fucking-credible!

The sheer wretchedness of the mendacity! Behold!

This is bad enough, but still retains dignity, it is not impossible that this would be part of the 2016 Republican platform. Might even be, though not so likely now that the Party is pivoting to the center.

But the Kossacks are just warming up! Wait till you see this!

Ridiculous on the face of it, what reasoning American would buy such a load of crap! That a modern, educated and intelligent American party would offer that as a platform? But wait, there’s more, if you order today…

Ecce Homo!

Tsk, tsk, Markos! Things are bad enough without making shit up! I feel a strong urge to apologise for the slanderous fabrications of a lefty newsite. And certainly would if I had more time…

I used to read Daily Kos every day, but the opinionating got to me. However, in doing a little research on what you said (not that I disbelieve you, just checking for myself) I find that the NY Times says it as well when I googled the phrase “that man-made law must be consistent with God-given, natural rights.”

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/13/us/politics/republican-convention-issues.html?_r=0

Then I looked up the GOP’s platform:

I guess it’s mostly dog whistles, because it’s certainly not overtly inflammatory. But we do find:

Then there’s this:

I think I may have stumbled on a parody site with the URL gop dot com.

That is the 2012 platform…pre-Trump. I think there was only a draft of the 2016 platform so far but it was very wacko and is much further to the right. Not that I am a fan of the Daily Kos…it is the Lefts version of Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity…

NYT is telling the same defamatory stuff.

None of that is actually a surprise, I trust.

Yeah, that link is from 2012. The 2016 is still being drafted.

An important point, there. We have to keep in mind that both sides do it. For sure, Mark Shields, Rush Limbaugh, not very much difference, really.

Gosh, Elvish, a couple of those quotes are identical to the one’s in my post! The Times, you say? When did they start quoting Daily Kos? This thing goes deeper than it appears…

There’s apparently been a significant shift in the Republican position on gay marriage. In 2012, they were still trying to address it on a national level with a ban.

They’ve now realized they’re not going to succeed on banning gay marriage in Congress. So the Republicans have reversed themselves and are now declaring gay marriage is a state issue and that every state should be able to set its own policy on gay marriage.

Verified wacko platform stances in Tuesday’s Draft.

Gay conversion therapy support was watered down to:

They are officially calling coal:

They are also calling for “special scrutiny” of people from islamic countries…this centuries version of the “China exclusion act” which is more correctly just called bigotry.

We will see what they actually pass next week but I retract my criticism of the Daily Kos, this time.

I turn around and pit the OP for ignoring the fact that their party has been taken over by extremist bigots whom want to destroy our freedoms of religion and association.

The best thing I can say about the GOP is that they are dying off…if only it would happen sooner.

The GOP in un-american in thought and in action.

While each side may have political pundits, the Democrats are not calling for legalized phycological torture (conversion therapy) Destruction of the separation of church and state and the freedom of religion (bible classes in school) or selling off public lands to privileged ranchers.

So they are not so equally evil.

Also, it’s not like the bible is even banned in public schools when necessary. I remember several times in my US and European history classes where the Bible was read. I recall one time in particular when the instructor read a lengthy passage from Job to give us context for an argument someone was making at that point in history (as the argument directly referenced Job). In addition, world religion classes aren’t particularly common, but are floating around, and frequently involve reading pieces of scripture including the Bible.

They wanted to teach it as history but we’re unable to.

No details oh what version of the Bible become the official state religion.

Deeply ashamed. I go now to the nearest river, to perform the Ancient Tasmanian Ritual of Self-Abasement, accompanied by a Chorus of bitter virgins, intoning dirges of woe and humiliation.

When checking the platform, I noticed it was 2012, not 2016. Then I said to hell with it, because somewhere I read they’ll finalize the 2016 version at the convention, so the 2012 is the latest authoritative version I could find.

All that said in my defense. Which, when combined with $4.75, might get you a small latte.

Now, after seeing the subsequent posts, I see the GOP contains 50% more crazy under Reince than before!

I can barely turn on the radio without hearing E. J. Dionne or Robert Reich barking their leftist talking points at me. Hours and hours a day, those bastards are churning out propaganda for the Democrat Party. Sometimes they even force Bill Moyers on us. Fucking Moyers!

Dunno, haven’t watched PBS since Big Bird was revealed as a Trotskyite. Saw Dionne and Moyer’s arguing over who goes to The Wall first and it got ugly! Don’t know how to describe it if you didn’t see the boxing match between Tonya Harding and Tammy Faye Baker.

lIke I said before, when FOX news had to temporary replace his talking heads when they were sick (well they are already sick guys but you know what I mean) the replacements were usually people like Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich and even Chuck Norris.

When ABC, CNN, NBC etc replaces his talking heads we got trainees that no one knows and usually vanilla in politics.

If the right wing was correct about the bias in the mainstream media I would expect the temp replacements to be guys like Bill Moyers, Jon Steward ( ), Jesse Jackson, etc.

So, just imagine:

Live! Tonight on the Situation Room, substituting Wolf Blitzer tonight: Michael Moore!

[Unlikely, but I would’ve loved to see the right wingers crapping in their pants at the sight of that]

Is it any surprise? Isn’t Trump’s slogan: Making America Straight Again.

Wait, America is light in the loofahs? Walking on the Wilde side? Was that, like, this morning? Was it sunspots, or something?

The Daily Kos is horribly dishonest, offensive, vulgar, and conspiratorial? I know their coverage is somewhat slanted but I was not aware that they were liars the way Limbaugh and Hannity were or insane the way Beck is.
