Honestly I too have thought this. I often wonder that mad killers do not manage to take out more people. I too think if you have a gun and lots of bullets shooting into a crowd the casualty toll would be huge.
Fortunately (in a relative sense) this seems harder to do than one would think. My guess it is because people run and dodge and hide and what not.
I want to be clear I am NOT rooting for higher body counts. Just expressing my wonder they are not higher than they are.

I just spoke to my husband, who is away at the moment. He is pretty shaken, and feeling a bit guilty that he didn’t feel worse for the Mumbai victims. I told him it is natural to be more affected by the things that happen closer to you (he is Danish).
He fears that, since Scandinavia share a lot of its political makeup, some radical shitstain in DK will think this is a brilliant way to bring about political change. I have to say that I will be as shocked as he is if this were to happen in my country. When things like this happen in peaceful places it does not make it any less sad, but it is a lot more shocking. I hope the Norwegians find peace soon.
You liberals tend to diminish the atrocities committed by muslim terrorists by saying that it is some kind of natural reaction to failed Western policies. Could it be that this atrocity is because of the failed Western policy of multiculturalism? Would it be better if the West used the same policies as South Korea, Japan and Israel instead?
