Oh you guys, I totally forgot about Wacky Deli…This thread’s doing a good job of brightening my cloudy day.
And the one where Heffer films Rocko walking around the house naked, and throughout the entire tape it’s just Heffer saying “NNNAAAAKKKKEEEEEDDD!!! NNNNAAAAKKKKEDDD!” over and over. That’s priceless.
I remember this one little part where Filburt walks out of the store where Rocko works, and he has a jar of sauce in his hands, and he kind of sighs, “sauce!” and then promptly drops it in the street. I remember my little brother asking me “Why do turtles like sauce so much?” LMAO!
Oh yeah, Kind Of A Lot-O Comics! Thats where Rocko worked!
And then there was the ep where Rocko had to get his eyes checked before a big jackhammering contest. He’s alone in the examining room and begins reading the chart, “LOOKOUTBEHINYOUTHERESAMADMAN” or some such. This causes his eye to bulge out to about four feet in diameter. The doctor tehn reaches in into the pupil and looks around saying, “It’s easier to examine this way.”
Well ,thank you Governor!That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw the O.P. , and if you hadn’t pointed it out , I was going to.“Rocko” fans-if you don’t get Nicktoons in your area, call your cable provider and request it.
Ah yes, the episode where Spunky eats the Fatheads Cheese Vitamin Tablet that Heffer feeds him. They take him to the vet and Filburt’s there with his pet loaf of bread I think it is. He won’t give it up so the doctor gives him the jar of sauce. I love that episode too. Ah, good times.
Dr. Hutchinson was great. Everytime she spelled her name on the board, she used her hook. “My name is doooctor Huuutchinsoooon.” I think someone’s head exploded once.
In the episode where Rocko is being examined by the crazy doctor (Dr. Bendova, I think), the doctor puts his hand between Rockos’ legs (accompanied by a crazy random noise like an elephant or something) and tells him to cough. He does this about 5 more times with a different noise each time and Rocko becomes increasingly angry. It’s funnier than I describe it, trust me.
And in the “I can’t believe they did that” file, in the episode where they’re camping, Rocko or Heffer or someone is picking berries off a bush. He picks a few, and as he plucks one off the bush, a large monkey rises up from behind it and runs off holding his crotch. There are so many jokes in this show that I didn’t get as a kid. I also thought Philbert was a beetle until they show said otherwise.
I loved the episode where one of them (I think it was Hef) gets sucked into the TV and they all have to go into the “snowy” land inside the TV to fetch him.
Rocko: Mush! Mush!
Spunky: Bark!
Phil: Mush makes me nauseous. I’m nauseous, I’m nauseous…
Rocko: Porridge! Porridge!

aaaah Fabulous Rocko. My favorite snippet, I can’t recall which episode it was from, but there was a large plumber bending underneath Rocko’s sink. His pants kept falling down. He says to Rocko: “Could you get that?” Rocko pulls them up. “Thanks a lot.” They fall again. “Could you get that?” Rock pulls them up - ad infinitum
Must just be my humor, but I found it hysterical.
And those of you describing OLD Nickelodeon, aren’t even coming CLOSE. I can remember: Pinwheel, What Will They Think of Next?, Mr. Wizard, and of course, the comedic marvel that was You Can’t Do That on Television.
Anyone remember the episode when Rocko goes to the grocery store for that 99% off sale, and all that bad stuff happens to him. Finally when he gets to the checkout line, he misses the sale by a few seconds then goes crazy until they give him the discount. After he packs up the groceries he takes off and hits a speed bumb and all of the groceries fall out and he keeps driving unaware. Ah, poor Rocko. I almost cried everytime I saw that episode.
What about the Halloween episode where the monster is a disembodied foot who sounds like Johnny Carson. Or the one where Ed Bighead sleepwalks and thinks he’s a pirate.
Can someone please tell me the title of the garage sale episode where Rocko sells one thing. A guy is staring at a stupid sculpture the cow made and after 8 hours he says I’ll take it and it’s 500 bucks.
The episode is Junk Junkies, in which Rocko has a $500 pizza bill and is able to pay it from the art freak buying Heffer’s melted “G.I. Jimbo” action figure.
As well as the little plastic pieces they had.
