Thanks! It represents my beloved Bernese Mountain Dog. Since the board’s background is light gray rather than white, I think the transparent background that you can get with PNGs in that sort of image makes a subtle but elegant difference.

Looks as though you got it to work—unless it’s a case of being visible for users of some browsers only (I can see your avatar in Chrome).
If it’s not working in all browsers, punctuation in the filename seems to be a problem in some cases–(you have an apostrophe and that could be an issue).
Yesterday I thought avatars were stupid. Today I think they’re great. Am really enjoying seeing what everyone comes up with.

Allow paid-up members to use animated gifs and get many $100’s of extra revenue. (Surely at least enough to pay to fix the many errors in the Sultanbugs theme. :eek: ) Heck, I’d even pay for a year’s membership to get an animated gif despite that, at 85-and-counting, I’m unlikely to get the full 12 months.
The 50x50 size seems just right. Good thing I didn’t pick Decimus as my screen name — I’d need 55x55.
Surely you jest! I can’t imagine having to deal with flickering flashing animated avatars–the whole reason why I block ads is to get rid of flickering flashing annoyances.

My only (tiny) regret is that this will take away the fun mystery behind some usernames. Such as: Will Mangetout’s avatar show a French person eating everything, or a man getting out of something?
Correct me if I’m wrong please, but aren’t you the same one who posted an obnoxious avatar when the greasemonkey script first came about? If so, you may be a little too…fixated on being anti-avatar. It’s a tiny picture next to someone’s username, not AIDS.

Better yet, allow paid up members to bid on whether they want to ban avatars, allow 50x50 avatars, or allow GIANT FLASHING GIFS.

Am I mistaken or wasnt’t the ‘no avatar’ policy and preference a pretty big part of Dope culture a while back? Are likes next? What about autoplay video, can we get that?
Any idea how to turn them off without being logged in? I don’t log in unless I’m going to make a post. Can uBlock Origin do it?
