I turned on avatars today.

We’ve got avatars on the SD, says the admin Tuba D

(It’s true!)

Thanks, Tuba!

woot!

Well, well, well, look who changed his mind!
(Sorry, just joshin’ with ya  )

Is there a way to turn off the viewing of avatars?

User CP>Edit Options>Scroll to “Thread Display Options”>uncheck “Show Avatars” Click “Save Changes” at bottom

Go into “User CP”, then into “Edit Options” and then scroll down. You’ll see a box checked that says “View Avatars” or something like that. Uncheck it. There, simple as can be.

I’ll dip my toe, but may pull out again.

Thanks, I like it!

I used Mac Photos, and in addition to selecting 50 pixels as the maximum dimension, I also had to change the “color profile” to Adobe RGB to get the file size small enough. Somehow, the default color profile gave me a much larger file. (in mb, not in pixels.)

I used this, and it worked perfectly-Thanks.

Does it only work on new posts?

Testing…and yep, that’s me in a biplane.

I like that they’re small - keeps them from overwhelming the post.

Nope, it’s retroactive. Just like username changes.

Sweet fancy Moses, I never thought this day would come.

Thanks Tuba.

Soooo…when do we get a “Like” button?
:flees:

Yo.

<primp>

This is not something that I cared much about one way or the other but I know people have been asking for it so I’m happy to see it.

I’ll have to think about what I want for an avatar if anything.

I give up. Can’t get a picture to the right size. I downloaded Gimp, resized an image, saved it, then tried to install it and it failed. Oh, well.

Boom. Thank you, Tuba!

testing… Ah, here’s Freddy…
