27)The english chap hiding in Farmer Homer’s Sweet Sweet Sugar
28)Skinner (referring to Otto when he loses his license)
29)Lisa’s Rival’s Father
15 is Arnie Pie, in the episode where Homer tries to escape with the kids in the police van, crashes it, and tries to burrow under a fence. “What about the children?” “I can’t see through metal, Kent!”
Wow, people here know their Simpsons! I’m impressed. Anyone got any more quotes? (My knowledge, unfortunately, is pretty much limited to the first six or seven seasons; I’ve never even heard of Jasper.)
It’s the one where Homer briefly becomes the darling of the Eurotrash art crowd. It’s after Homer has flooded the town - the Flanderses think it’s the Apocalypse.
- “Who’s the bear?”
Thats the episode were Homer and Marge fight (well I guess its one of those 10 episodes) over, I believe, Homer’s alcoholism and Homer turns gay.
- “productivity is up two percent, and it’s all because of my motivational techniques. Like, donuts. And a possibility of more donuts to come”
Members of the springfield gay community to Smithers when he was talking to Homer. I forget which episode, though. treis may be right, though.
And damn you, bouv, for beating me to the punch on that Englishman one. That goes in hand with one of the best monologues from the series. To wit:
Here’s a classic one, if a bit easy:
- “I’m not a state, I’m a monster!”
Ooh, finally one I know! Lisa in her state costume (Florida?) that Homer tried to help her make since Marge wouldn’t leave the casino.
Right you are on that episode (“Three Gays of the Condo”). I wanna say that the quote is Homer, working for Hank Scorpio in “You Only Move Twice.”
Lisa as… Florida? In “$pringfield.”
-
“Aw, that was just cloud talk…”
-
“You tried to kill me. I want a separation.”
-
“God speed, little doodle.”
-
“That’s what good waffles do – they stick together.”
-
“Sit perfectly still: only I may dance!”
I think that’s Jimbo.
Selma, to Sideshow Bob.
Flanders, when the group is stranded on a raft.
Waitress in… is it “Marge on the Lam?” The one with Ruth Powers, anyhow.
Conab O’Brien, when Bart was on his show, because he’d gotten famous as the ‘I didn’t do it’ Boy on Krusty’s show.
One of the bullies (I forget which one), claiming that his statement about cutting off the head of Jebediah Springfield’s statue was just an exaggeration.
Ned Flanders, using a single Cheez Doodle (the last piece of food on the boat) during an unfortunate Junior Camper escapade.
[/quote]
Talk show host and former Simpsons writer Conan O’Brian, during an appearance on his show by Bart “I Didn’t Do It!” Simpson.
Here’s mine (it’s hard to think of these):
-
“A caller at this hour? You dial 9-1, and when I say so, dial 1 again.”
-
“Do we want to act like the real UN, or do we just want to squabble and waste time?”
-
“Jimmy Carter’s passed out on the couch.”
Skinner, I think in “Das Bus.” This might’ve been my first ‘favorite Simpsons quote.’ MMMM, that’s good satire!
Agnes Skinner to Principal Skinner…I can’t, for the life of me remember the contxt, though.
Oh man…I think that’s one of the people in the Van Houten family – Nana von Houten?
It wasn’t an official quote, but I can place that one- a random rider on EFCOT Center’s Enron Ride of Broken Dreams, in an Art Fern voice.
Oh, dangit…yes, it’s the Van Houtens, whem Bart sold his soul to Milhous.
Er, I think you’re on overdrive now. I was just commenting on the Skinner quote I was IDing.
I think Rodgers01 is right about the “dial 9-1” quote. They recycled that joke in an episode this year, which is a little annoying.
I thought you were using a Simpsons quote to comment on a Simpsons quote. (Actually, you were, but presumably not intentionally.)
Eh, what the heck:
- “Do you have a reciept, quote unquote?”
- “Ball is in…parking lot.”
- “I regret nothing!”
- “Second comes right after first!” (cut in syndication)
- “This is going to get worse before it gets better.”
That’s just scary. My subconcious is a genius!
