I'll Start The MMP.

So it looks like I’ll actually be able to go on my annual ‘do silly things in a field’ camping trip. For some reason, despite the train being £150 normally, the one I actually wanted to catch was only £42.

I mean, I ain’t complaining in this case, but our rail system is sufficiently weird that it’s actually a cheaper ticket for that 8 hour trip on the train than for just the 3 hour first leg on the same train

Home. Tired. Let the weekend begin…

Envy me.

Tonight and a good part of the day tomorrow I’ll be at a small film festival, “Godzilla and Friends” I’m going to see one of the few films of Godzillan that I’ve missed. It’s "Godzilla vs the Smog Monster, reorted to be one of the worst by Michael Medved. Plenty of other movies, but this is what I really want to see.

::Casts envious looks at CupCakes:: Sounds like a ton o’ fun!

We ingested majik intartoobz pizza and all is well. I need to rest up as tomorrow is mowage of the back forty (front forty mowed by others today) at the church house.

Home and oh joy- we have a houseguest. Hubby forgot to tell me. Not at all happy. I had a very hard day and still have to irk tomorrow for a half day. So my precious time off will not be as restful with company.

I am so tired of the stupid. Some folks out in the wild should never leave home. That’s all I’m gonna say about that.

Why couldn’t I have been an heiress? Why?

We’re looking at a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale around the Caribbean, then in and out of the Panama Canal - starting the Sunday after Thanksgiving for 10 days. It’s a pretty amazing deal - and we can even afford a balcony room. Waiting to hear back from the agent…

I read that as neural slime machine.

nightshade, I’m with ya on the heat vs. cold thing.

ruble, having worked in audit functions in manufacturing and logistics for many years, I understood what you were talking about. My facility has been getting refugees from both of the local Jungle FCs recently. We are midway between them and have better irk conditions and pay, so with the job market the way it is, they’re leaving for greener pastures.

Nelson has barked his thanks for the skritches. He’s back to hus usual self. I think what made him sick was the green art pencil that I found chewed up by his studio bed. I didn’t realize I had dropped anything that wasn’t found. :smack: Now that he’s feeling better, we’ll hit the dog park later in the weekend.

Maybe it’s my RC upbringing, but whenever I hear May the fourth be with you, my first thought is to respond And also with you. :stuck_out_tongue:

Red, I go waaaaay back in the Catholic Mass; I learned it as “Dominus Vobiscum” and “Et cum spiritu tuo”.

FCM, sounds like a nice cruise, I’ve never done the canal, it’s on my list. And a balcony cabin is really nice.

Butters, is houseguest family? (sorry, if I’m prying, don’t answer). Anyway, hubby should be in the doghouse for not telling you.

Cupcakes, some music to get you in the mood for the movie: Blue Oyster Cult Godzilla - YouTube

Nut, glad you’re able to go, but I agree, pricing for travel can be…interesting.

Did some soccer coaching, only had 4 boys there tonight, but am scheduled to coach two and referee two games on Saturday…but there is rain and Thunder-boomers in the forecast, so all will depend on the weather Gods tomorrow.

metal mouse, I barely remember the Latin mass, but I do remember that part. :stuck_out_tongue:

Only because he beat me to it.

Darn -------- so close. And not feeling that childish tonight.

Survived a long, shorthanded day, with a bonus Children’s Riot Festival

I have too much pride to make a lion pun.

I say that ,too. But they went and changed it to “And with your spirit”. I should Tweet the Pope about changing it back.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 89 and N.O.S. for the day. Today’s agenda includes mowage of the back forty over to the church house this mornin’, followed by some quality cee-mint pond time this afternoon. We shall sup upon farfalle with pesto sauce 'n chikin, sallit, and garlic bread. I shall actually make up two of the farfalle dish cause tomorrow is brunch Sunday over to the church house and 'tis easy to make so why not make one to take tomorrow as well.

I once saw a well-dressed lion who had a flower in his lapel. He was a dandelion.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Sattidy Y’all! Happy Cinco de Mayo, which is pretty much a made up holiday!

Good morning.

My niece has been in the hospital since 5AM yesterday and as far as I know, she still hasn’t squeezed out her kid. What a drama queen! I wanted him to be born yesterday so I could call him Yoda. Tho Luke would work, too. His dad could say… well, you know…

Happy Saturday!

Exactly! Devilry! We have exams over a 5-week period, the regulations say that students can’t sit two exams on the same day (seems reasonable to me) and we have students with disabilities who are not supposed to have exams on consecutive days either. What with two bank holidays taking time away from the exam schedule, we now have to put some exams on Saturdays to get them all into the timeframe.

Thus it is a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon and I am in the office. The bonus is that I’ll get about 10hrs credit for this so I can reclaim a day of annual leave to use later for fun stuff, and I might get something productive done. I might also just goof about on here and farcebook…technically I have to be here in case of exam problems (and to supervise the individual sits) so I don’t actually have to do real work iff’ns I don’t want to. And I Don Twanna.

Happy Saturday!

It has cooled off a bit, looks and feels like it’s going to rain.

I barely remember the mass being in latin, and I am another one who thinks ‘and also with you’.
I also, for whatever unfathomable reason, woke up with this earworm this morning, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwuDSw-9cUQ

I slept until almost 7 this morning and so am feeling pretty good.

I have lots to do, so I should be doing.

Blurfage At irk for a half day.

MetalMouse he is a dear family friend and he visits the Keys often at least every few months. He is not really a problem but I just don’t want to be bothered.

I already had to call the peeps who we have wifi here this morning. It was not irking but seems to fine after the call. The office doesn’t open until 9 so I had a few minutes to kill. I guess I will go to it.

Happy Saturday all.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! (maybe not a real holiday, but a hell of an excuse to drink Margaritas :stuck_out_tongue: )

It’s raining in the music city and surrounds this morning. I have a load of towels and sheets in the spin cycle, the puppy crate cleaned, breakfast et and KP done. I’m fixing to prep the craft for the heathen children tomorrow (we’re doing it a week early to avoid Mother’s day conflicts) which will involve purtifying to go out in public to pick up florist tape and green chenille stems. They used to call these things pipe cleaners, but connecting children’s crafts with pipe smoking was a bit etically suspect and, at this point, they likely sell more for the kids than the pipe smokers. :stuck_out_tongue:

I left tire tracks in the driveway…thru the pollen!!!

Your pronoun is unclear; please clarify who beat you to it
[ul]
[li]Me for offering to shoot flytrap[/li][li]or he who sits in dirt for thanking me for being shot.[/li][/ul]

Did you take notes?

All the good ones have manely been done before.

Happy Cinco* de Mayo

  • Cinco means “hold”, right?

Turns out when I was posting earlier today, my niece had just squeezed out my great-nephew - Grayson. We just got back from erranding, so I just found out a few minutes ago. No numbers yet so I don’t know if **RoxStar **wins the baby contest.

I’ve started laundry, but motivation is tough to come by. We’ll see how the rest of the day goes.
