I'm making breakfast; how do you want your eggs?

It really depends on what I’m after. Breakfast tacos, scrambled. Everything else, sunny-side-up is the one true egg.

I’ll take over easy as long as the white is completely done; no runny egg-white on my plate, please! Runny egg-yellow is just good toast soppings.

So I typically order over meadium just to be safe.

Just throw them in a frying pan, mess about a bit and I’ll take whatever comes out.

Eggs over easy, please. Then I can dip my toast in the yolk!

If I have corned beef hash, poached eggs is the way to go. Mmmm.

Hard boiled if you have the time for it. Scrambled otherwise.

Unless you’re my dad; then I’ll take whatever you give me and shut my damn mouth.

Omelets. And, no, not scrambled eggs with mix-ins, actual omelets – folded into thirds so they have a crispy outside but soft inside. Favorite of mine is mixing a little pesto in the egg, and using Emmethaler cheese as the filling.

This. I’ll go with the “baked into a cake” option.

Other: eggs in holes in bread, which goes by many names.

Never had or even heard of “shirred” eggs. Sounds delicious, and not very healthy.

I chose over medium, but I’ve changed my mind to shirred eggs. But these bacon-egg-toast cups are some of my favorites.

Sheesh, you people asking for tater tots and sausage and omelets and whatnot… The OP said “just eggs” and "no omelets!! How dare you take advantage of a cook’s friendliness and start demanding extra stuff! Oh, but please, do continue to go ahead and request caviar and smoked salmon! I’m sure Mean Mr. Mustard will be happy to provide!

I was too harsh in my OP, I’ve decided. I myself can’t enjoy eggs without toast or bread of some sort, so breadstuffs are allowed.

I call this ‘egg in a nest’, while Mrs. Mustard refers to it as a ‘magic egg’.

Anyone call this delicious treat by another name?
mmm

Growing up, we called this “Egg-In-A-Blanket.”

ETA: I haven’t had one in ages, and now I’m ready to run to the grocery store.

Eggie in the Hole or Rocky Mountain Toast.

Basted.

I loves me some eggs…

Just EGGS…

mmmmm

Toad in a Hole. I think that’s just to put you off as a kid and opt for cereal.

Over medium. Whites m.u.s.t. be done and the dippy part must be runny. Mmmmm.

What do you call it when they’re cooked in their shell, put in a little cup, and then eaten with a spoon?

Soft-boiled
