I just got home. It was a great time. It was especially nice finally meeting gigi, as well as her friend. Both great people. And a special thanks to gigi for grabbing the check out of my hand and paying for my meal. She really didn’t have to do that. (Actually, it was extra special nice, because right before dinner, I realized that I’d forgotten to go to the ATM. I had seven dollars in my pocket. That was my drink and a tip.)
We got in a little late, because the guys were outside waiting for the girls. The girls wer inside waiting for us. That delayed us by about half an hour.
Thanks also to gigi and Autolycus for getting me something, even though I asked them not to. Very thoughtful. 
And thanks to the girls for urging me to get cake for dessert. It gave the waiter a place to put the candle while the whole room sang Happy Birthday to me. A little embarassing, but it was nice.
And of course, thanks to Robot Arm and bbs2k for showing up along with everyone else. You guys made it a great day.

What a nice evening. To be honest, I was a little intimidated by the whole Dopefest thing, but it was a very pleasant time with four lovely gentlemen.
I’m happy to say the evening did involve a goat and multiple squid, so traditions were upheld.

Yes, we were lovely. I think bbs2k went a little far with the fishnet stockings. Robot Arm looked wonderful in a one-piece. Auto, of course, won Miss Congeniality.
