I'm Up So I'm Startin' The MMP

I listen to the radio a lot at home. I like satellite radio but I’ve never had it in any form.
I don’t really listen to stuff while commuting. Usually while commuting, I’m snoozing or half-asleep anyway. Unless some annoying person is yammering on their phone, which happens too often.

The shepherd’s pie was yum. Dishes are washing. I’m going to crochet till bed time.

MWAH!!!

I just saw something on Jeopardy! that reminds me of how far we have come in what people feel free to say. It was kind of cool.

The champion hit a daily Double. He’d already double his score once, and was now sitting at 26000 dollars. Alex teased him “I know you want to do it” and told him that if he was successful he’d have the highest score ever for one day.

I could tell the dude was tempted, but then he said “My husband would kill me!” Nice he could say that.

The only time I listen to the radio is in the truck. When I’m home I’ll listen to a youtube playlist. I can pick what I want and don’t have to listen to crappy stuff. Then again, I miss out on hearing new stuff.

Shrimp and broccoli was good. I think I could have eaten the whole pan, but that would just be piggy. So, I’ll have the leftovers for lunch tomorrow, or maybe put some of it into an omelet for breakfast.

I’m so sleepy right now. I shouldn’t be, I had a long nap this afternoon.
I’m going to blame it on the cold even though it’s warm in the house.

Mooooom, Sirius sent me an offer of $6 for six months and $36 for the following six months and I took them up on it. I don’t listen to it on my commute (less than 15 minutes in a suburban market with three good NPR stations) but I like it when I hit the road. Given that I have no CD player in the car and Pandora tends to drain my phone’s battery on long trips (can’t sync it and charge at the same time), it’s a good option.

TB, it doesn’t seem like Beta Chan should be 10 already.

baker, Mauser will likely do his business while the car warms up, then you can take him to PetSmart. :stuck_out_tongue:

flytrap, while Nelson wasn’t a fan of the water at PupSwim, I had a ball watching the labs, poodles and huskies play.

bumba, I’ve given up trying to do TP math. Whenever I get down to the last inner package, I go to Staples for a bale if they’ve sent a $10 coupon or Kroger if they haven’t. With just me here, I only have to do that about three times a year.

Nelson doesn’t wear a sweater, but if I’m wearing my heavy coat, he has a coat like this that I put on him: https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-Reversible-Fleece-Jacket-Medium/dp/B07F4B555B/ref=asc_df_B07F4B555B/?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid={creative}&hvpos={adposition}&hvnetw=o&hvrand={random}&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl={devicemodel}&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583589103252197&psc=1 His is green and my coat is red, so we look like Santa and her elf when we go for a walk. I like this much better than a sweater because it’s easy on/easy off with the velcro.

It was soooooooo coooooooold in my corner of the plant today. This is the first winter in this area and we’re by an overhead door used by building maintenance. I had so many layers on that I would have been like that little kid in A Christmas Story had I fallen. It’s supposed to be up to 50F tomorrow, which will be a welcome change from the 24F that I went to irk in.

Evening all. Just got a call from my brother and SIL, he’s been released from the horsepistol and was on his way to get his new prescriptions filled. Still has some trouble with words, but sounds strong.

Completed nappage this afternoon and need to forage for dinner here in a minute.

Red, love Nelson’s jacket and hope your little corner of the world gets warmer.

Cupcakes, nice little story there; sometimes I think folks expect this giant leap in humanity in all types of social progress, but it is often measured in many, many tiny steps. Glad to see another one taken.

Sari, My niece’s Mastiff loves the snow, despite being a fairly short-haired dog. depends on the breed and the animal’s personality, I guess.

Worked, came home, napped. Making jerk chicken style Bachelor Chow to ward off the cold. It was 22 this morning when I took Gordie out, and it’s…21 now.

I did the $25 extended 5 month tria’ It’s worth it for B.B. King’s Bluesville and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville channel(and the 40’s channel is the bee’s knees too!)

red, Gordie likes to run around in his birthday suit, even when It’s cold.

What a beautiful day for the MLK Jr holiday. Warm, pleasant. Lots of frolicking on the beach. 6:20pm now and 81 degrees.

I got Mauser his sweater. I ended up not taking him with me though, and guesstimating the size. It’s perfect as it turns out, I put it on him when I got home. Now to go out way early to do his thing, as I’m going in really early to work.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 34 Amurrkin out and clear (OK, dark) with a predicted high of 57 and mostly cloudy for today. TWPTB say the high tomorrow will be 73. :dubious: Today is laundry day. Rah. Sup shall be beastloaf, mac ‘n cheese, peas ‘n butterbeans with okra, collard greens, and corn bread. I have a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for some down home comfort food. Collards got cooked yestiddy and the beastloaf is one I made up and froze. I even remembered to take it out last night to thaw. Men’s night was good as always and we had a good crowd.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, onward into the day.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

The closest I came to going out yesterday was when I opened the door for Higgs. Not so lucky today - 11° to start, but 50 forecast for tomorrow. Stoopit weather…

Looks like I’ll be back to working full-time for a bit - *THANKS, JOSH!! * :stuck_out_tongue: I was just going to add Firdays, but now I’ll do a full schedule till things slow down. My life is such a trial <pose of woe and despair>

Happy Tuesday!

Happy Toosday!

It’s a still dark, chilly 9 degrees outside.
Suppose to warm up to 28 today.

Today I want to call the electric company to see when the meter reader comes out. Ripple got out of the yard last night because the neighbor’s gate was open. That’s the only person I know of who uses her gate. If it was the meter reader then I’m not too worried, but if somebody else is using the gate then we know we have to check it before we let Ripple out.

Morning all. 35F on the way to 50F today so I may get out more. But rain is forecast for tonight and tomorrow…

Otherwise a quiet day with possible housecleaning if I can work up the energy.

All y’all take care.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing shift tonight. It’s a balmy 19 degrees at the moment. Tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 60.

Holy crap on a cracker, have I been BUSY!!! Brent asked me to get 2 drawings updated and into the system - turns out there were sub-drawings that needed to be fixed also, Not even halfway done - I even ran 20 minutes past my usual lunch break and didn’t realize it. I think it’s going to be a busy few weeks.

For now - food!

Blurfage We’re warming back up finally. I am being a clerk today and so far not too busy.

Happy Second Moanday!

It wasn’t the meter reader who left the gate open. I figured it wasn’t because my bill usually runs from the 29th to the 29th. And they were closed yesterday. Lucky for them, I’d hate to have to have been out walking yesterday.
I tried to catch the neighbor before she left for irk this morning to see if she knew of anybody who might be going in and out. Not that it’s really any of my business, it’s her gate. I have never known her to use it, she keeps her trash cans in front of the gate so she doesn’t have to open it to take the trash out. I seldom see her out back anyway, we take care of both back yards. I figure we are the ones using it, we should do the mowing and trimming.
I guess if she ever moves I’m going to have to put a fence between us. Or buy that side of the house.

Time for lunch. I can’t decide what I want.

I might sign up for a 3 month free trial. I have a road trip coming up in that time, so I can test out if I like it for around town and for a road trip.

I may be scarce the rest of the week. My boss is going to be joining me intermittently over the next few days while I work machine side. We have a huge project coming up that’s a must-do-can’t-fail kind of thing, and I’m a little behind on my part. I gotta stop hanging out on the Dope, I guess. It’s going to be rough. We work well enough together, but when she’s breathing down my neck, it really gets to me. I like to do things digitally, and she’s a print a million pages kind of person. She’ll print all this stuff out for me, then wonder why I’m not marking it up. I mark it up digitally so I don’t lose it, and if I get hit by a bus tomorrow, it’s all there for my teammates to find. No one has to dig through my desk, wondering which version of this printed crap is the most up to date. Plus, I don’t have to dig through my desk wondering which version of this printed crap is up to date. The most up to date stuff is in the project folder, easy to find and manage.

Dinner last night was biryani made with riced cauliflower instead of rice. It was good. I’d never done it before. Also I got to use the cuisinart food processor for the first time that a friend gave us a while back when she moved. 'Twas fun, but kinda a PITA to clean up.

Didn’t make it to costco after all. TMI warning! Had another bout of diarrhea. One of my meds gives me diarrhea, plus I’m lactose intolerant, so it doesn’t take much to set me off. I’d take the version of the med that doesn’t give me the scoots, but it’s >$500.00/mo.:mad::mad: /TMI

I may go today, if I can get my butt in gear.

Wouldn’t it be better if you got your butt out of gear?

Ripple is driving me crazy today. He needs to run and play, but he wants to do it indoors instead of out. I’ll be happy when it warms up a bit and he can burn off his energy outdoors.

I got some laundry done today. Cleaned the bathroom except for the tub and floor, that is my son’s job. Cleaned my bedroom except for the vacuuming, also my son’s job. He can vaccum the stairs, hall, bathroom, and bedroom at the same time. There’s never much to do in my bedroom, it’s the easiest room in the house to keep clean.
