I'm Up So I'm Startin' The MMP

Howdy Y’all! I laundered, folded, ahrned, and put stuff where it stays until dirtied up again. Plus, I made sup which has been et. Plus also, the kitchen is all cleanded up. I have been the adultiest adult who ever adulted! The low temp tonight is forecasted at 53 Amurrkin (the temp as I post) with a high of 73 tomorrow. Rain allegedly will come in Wednesday night and then a cool down. January cannot make its mind up!

ETA: My laptop is fixed and on its way back to me via FedEx. YAY!

doggio, Gordie may like to go outside buck nekkid because he has a little more insulation than Nelson does. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yay for the fixed laptop swampy!

I got a birthday surprise in the mail today. Sis made me some oven handle towel hangers and actually got them in the mail. Usually, she puts it off until she’s on her way up anyway and just hand delivers gifts. :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll give her a call tonight to thank her.

Beta-chan, Didi (younger brother) and my wife are up to Taiwan Grandma’s for a couple of days during their winter holidays. Chinese New Year is coming up soon.

My how the house is quiet without a couple of kids practicing the piano or violin, singing, laughing, complaining or fighting.

Thanks for remembering her.

She’s in 4th grade and Didi is in 2nd. Pough would have been in 6th. Both kids take violin, and Beta-chan is also taking piano. They take kendo and are involved in an environmental group for kids. Far busier than I was as a child.

They enjoy school and have more friends that I did. Typical kids now.

There was road construction happening on my way home from irk that slowed me down by a half hour. I stopped at the grocery store and came home and made dinner. Now about to lie down but must get up early as tomorrow is maid day and I have to clean before she gets here. Not really but I do like to have the laundry started and the dishwasher doing it’s thing before I leave for irk.

Y’all stay warm.

well I went to the gym and not doing anything else worth writin about other than its warm here and finding a new burger place

glad I oved out of the artic regions decades ago …….
going back to the gym tomorrow more warm up stuff …. informed Monday it gets serious …… going 3 times a week
hope no one freezes to death ……
don’t have too much fun

Happy Hump Day!

Woke up at 4, never got back to sleep.

It’s a not so bad 30 degrees outside, supposed to get up into the 40s today.
I’m waiting for the sun to come up, then I’ll take the brat to daycare. I’m not sure it’s doing much good for him.

I’m making pork chops with fart blossoms for dinner tonight. My son is on his own, whatever he wants to make for himself.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 53 Amurrkin out and cloudy (dark, actually) with a predicted high of 74 and mostly cloudy for the day. Rain is supposed to move in tonight and tomorrow’s high will be today’s low. Weather by Sybil as doggio would say. Today is lay in provisions day. I shall purchase shrimpies for tonight’s sup of shrimp 'n grits. I envision spareguts as the vegetative matter. Tomorrow we shall sup on last night’s leftovers.

And now this…

<AHEM> CLEARIN’ THROAT <AHEM>

BTW, she is six months and six days older than me. :stuck_out_tongue:

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, I must purtify and don goin’ about the public attire to go to the Pubic Sto’. Such a bother!

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Awwwww, thanks swampster, you old geezer! If I may offer the advice of the additional 6 months and 6 days of wisdom - don’t wait too long to apply for Medicare. My application is finally in the works, but I should have done it 2 months ago. I fear this idiotic shutdown will delay it further.

I beat you, **Sari **- I woke at 2 and have been up ever since. Not amused at all!

We’ll see how well I survive the day. It started badly - the soda machine in our break room is screwy, so I had to get my caffeine fix from the machine on the shop floor. Fortunately, they had Diet Coke in there. I may need to get another before the morning is out.

Such is life. Happy Wednesday!

Normally I’d already be at work but there was an ice storm yesterday, in the early evening, and then it switched to snow. The cafe is located in the library and it isn’t opening until noon today. We will open a little earlier, to serve the staff. I can’t imagine we will be busy. I’m going to take a show, dress warmly, and get to work about 8:30 or so.

Mauser wore his sweater again this morning and was glad for it I think. It’s going to take a while to warm up the car and get the ice of of it.

Happy Birthday MMMOOOOOOOOOOMMM!

At least I can take a nap sometime today.
One good reason to take the brat to daycare, yesterday he wouldn’t let me nap.

The kid and the dog had breakfast, now to fix something for me.
Which means the dog will get a second breakfast.

I almost didn’t take Ripple to daycare, the back sidewalk is very icy.
However, he was all excited about going out and I hated to disappoint him. Of course, once we got to the daycare all excitement was gone.
I parked out front so I didn’t have to navigate the ice, I hope it’s all melted by the time I have to go back out.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mooooooommm

Raining outside and according to the weather-folk and the NWS radar, it’s going to be raining most of the day. So good thing I went out last night and paid the gas bill. 51F this morning and supposed to get close to 60F, so there is that.

Today will be solving puzzles in the paper and reading my newest two volumes of Schlock Mercenary that came in the mail yesterday.

All you ice-bound people take care now.

I just began reading that on the web.

Might take you awhile, but I became a fan about 8 years ago. LIke wine, it only gets better (IMHO).

Need to obtain sustenance now.

Lunch break - running late again. CREO sucketh mightily. I wanna go home!!!

Carry on.

Happy Mooooommmmmday!

Back early from skool- one of the teechers cancelled the last class.

We’re getting a touch of sleet, I believe there’s snow up country, but as I guessed, nothin’ down here.

Happy birthday, Moooommmm!

My boss is killing me. The previous writer (the one I was hired to replace) did a shitty job on the manual, and I’m still too green to know that it was a shitty job. (I just don’t know the equipment well enough to know stuff is missing.) Now she’s all over me with “Change this! Change that! This is all wrong!” She knows I’m still learning the equipment, and I need the guidance to know it’s wrong, but she’s going about it in a way that feels like she’s blaming me for thinking it was right.

I’m so done with today… and it’s not even noon.

**Juliet **- I know how you feel, but sadly this is one of those things where you just have to bite the bullet and deal with it. It’s a learning experience, right? Hang in there - you’ll be an expert before you know it.

Dinner plans changed, now we are having meatballs.
Is okay, the porkchops won’t spoil overnight, they may not even be thawed yet.

The sun is shining and the snow/ice is melting.
I think I’ll still go get the brat before dark.

My son’s text books came today, so he is ready for school to start Moonday.
Well, he probably isn’t ready, but he has everything he needs.

Juliet, I always used bad bosses as an example of how not to be when I became boss. Nt that I ever did, I never wanted to be a boss. No thank you.

I had a customer yell at me the other night and tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about. Called me back last night to apologize, I was right.
I love it when that happens.

And now I’m getting harsh emails from my daughter’s girl scout troop leader about freaking cookie sales. My daughter will be gone all of spring break, including both weekends before and after. I told her as much. When she wrote it down in her notes, she forgot the weekend at the beginning. I didn’t catch that when she asked us to verify the availability. We both made mistakes. Now she’s getting all crabby with me because she signed my daughter up to sell cookies at a booth that first weekend and she can’t make it. I’m offering to bring her back early that second weekend to make it for the second booth. Fine, I’ll leave at 4 am to get back to town by 11. Get off your freaking high horse, lady.

I think I’m going to hide in the bathroom and cry for a little bit at lunch today.
