I'm Up So I'm Startin' The MMP

Howdy Y’all! I have completed adultin’ under adult supervision. We gassed up OYKW’s vehicle at Sam’s, went to the church house where I performed candle duty, went to :eek:WallyWorld, and had an early N.O.L. at Waffle House. Now we’re back in da cave and chillaxin’. Nappage shall ensue in a bit.

We went right from breakfast to the wilds of (I think) PG county to pick up the plans for the back yard workshop. The second (and last) load of laundry is in the washer. I need to push the vacuum cleaner around. That’s pretty much all for today. Chillage shall ensue, for sure.

It’s a tropical 9 now and snowing. Needless to say, I’m not going anywhere.

Howdy Y’all! Nappage has been achieved. I have also made a ton o’ snausage balls for tomorrow. Tomorrow is ANNUAL MEETING time for both congregations. The Luteruns will meet at ten a.m. after their service to elect members to their Council. The Whiskypalians will meet right after the ten forty-five service to elect members to the Vestry. BTW I am standin’ for election to the Vestry. Anywho, ‘tis traditional to have snackies hence the ton o’ snausage balls, some for the Luteruns, and some for the Whiskypalians. I’m nice like that. Also, I will be at the church house for a loooooooooong time tomorrow as I have ush duty for the Luterun service and must hang around to do the Whiskypalian thang as well.

WetOne ICK! Still, better thee than me.

went to gym …didn’t kill anyone yet tho they’re still workin on it but im gonna do some thing drastic and ill have to face the fury of hell but I will prevail and end that situation permanently and no no physical harm will occur … I think anyways

you know I think the universe decided that I don’t need all you eat pancakes from ihop cause every the they have them I just get stalled on getting there til after there done ………

its warmer today and nephew will be over tonight so might not be back on until tomorrow sos have fun ….

swampy, I haven’t been to the WH for a while (I don’t drink as much as I used to :stuck_out_tongue: ), but my favorite meal ther was always a patty melt, an order of scattered, smothered, covered chunked and a glass of tea.

Wrapped up the first third of the studio organization project this morning, went out for groceries, took Nelson to the dog park, did the usual Saturday chores and picked up some catfish, turnip greens, mac &cheese and hot water cornbread. Twas nom! Now to work on the second third of the project.

I hear you, I’m thinking about retiring after 20 years.

Howdy all. At the gyms for indoor soccer from 8:30am to 4:30pm, then came home, changed clothes, and headed for the Owl-Leave Garden to conspicuously consume calories, so I am home with a very full belly, trying to stay awake a little while longer.

Shady, that’s some cryptic reading on the gym (or maybe I didn’t see the backstory), but good luck in not killing anyone…

swampy, good luck on the voting tomorrow. And snausage balls may tilt the election in your favor…the way to a voters’ heart is via the stomach, or something like that.

wet one, it’s 42F here in N. Ali-bama, so I don’t think I’ll be trading weather with you anytime soon.

Tomorrow is more soccer and less eating out. All y’all take care.

I need to exercise more. I’m playing soccer with my son and I get winded too quickly. One of the problems with having kids when you are older, I guess. He’s cool about it. He just liked kicking the ball with his dad.

I have had the good news that my mom will likely be going home from rehab next week. I was not sure she would be able to, after breaking her hip. Of course there will be in-home assistance for a while, both physical and occupational thereapists will make visits.

I was afraid she would have to go into assisted living and was dreading disbursing her household stuff. But it seems that will be able to wait. Thank God for modern medicine.

Up too early.

Bladder woke me at 2:30ish.
Now Ripple is sick. Just a bout of shar pei fever. I should have picked up on it last night when he was so slow coming up the stairs, but I thought he was just tired. I got some aspirin in him and he should be feeling better soon.

I took a sick day yesterday and didn’t do a damn thing. The house is a mess, the sink is full of dishes. My son was bitching to me because he couldn’t hook up the washer because of all the dishes in the sink. Oh well, mom is sick and he is certainly able to unload the dishwasher and put the dirty dishes in it. Not that he did, he just piled the dirties higher in the other sink

School starts for him tomorrow. He wanted me to help him get everything set up yesterday. That didn’t happen.

I want to go back to bed, but I hate to have Ripple try to follow me up. His hocks are swollen, his back is roached, and it hurts him to walk. He looks miserable.
I’d like to get a little more sleep since today is going to be busy.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 36 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 58 and mostly cloudy for the day. We shall see. The plan of the day is deheathenization (Ush duty at nine a.m.) at both services, followed by ANNUAL MEETING and all that there stuff. I’ll definitely be all churched up when it’s all over. There will be snackies which will most likely take care of N.O.L. Sup will be via forage for sustenance as needed.

CupCakes excellent news about your mom!

{{{Ripple}}} feel better soonest. ::skritches::

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Up, sorta. Actually awake but still abed. Have I ever mentioned how much I love my tablet??

Nothing in particular on today’s agenda, tho I do need to get some bread and probably other stuff. Later, when I get moving…

Happy Sunday!!

My son scored his first ever goal. He’s not one of the starters and doesn’t get a lot of playing time. They aren’t in a league so they don’t have s lot of games.

They had a blowout with another team today so he got to play a whole half.

It was great.

He is 8 now but suddenly seemed like he grew up really quickly.

I’ve posted far too much about the abuse in my family growing up. About the neglect and disinterest.

I won a state championship in archery in high school and my parents never came to a match.

Fortunately my son is getting a different experience in life.

TB, congrats on the son’s goal. Hope he keeps having fun. And good on you for supporting him.

Sari, some skritches from me to Ripple…even if he can be a pest at times. And a dope slap to your son (use the damn dishwasher!)

Cupcakes, glad to hear about your Mom; hope the recovery continues to go well.

Soccer from 2-6pm today, so I have the entire morning to myself. 44F outside, so I need to rescue the paper from outdoors and obtain some sustenance here shortly.

All y’all have a good Sunday.

Yay for your mom getting to come home baker!

{{{ripple}}}

TB, yay for your son’s goal. It’s good that you have taken the initiative to change your family’s legacy.

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted and no plans to do much beyond the usual Sunday chores today.

Today’s chores are done. I got groceries, cut up some veggies and fruit for FCD, made his breakfast, did the dishes. And vacuumed earlier. Go me!
Yay, Cupcakes!!! Great news!

**TB **- good on ya! I went to ball games, gym meets, dance recitals, piano recitals, class plays, chorus concerts, and swim meets. So many were tedious, but ya do that for your kid, right?

**sari **- I agree with **MetalMouse **- dope slap to the kid! I don’t want anyone to load the dishwasher here, but they all know to rinse and stack their dirties so I can load it easily myself. Because they don’t know how to do it right! :stuck_out_tongue:
Chillage shall ensue now.

I slept on the couch til my son woke me at 9, as I had asked him too.
Dishes are in the washer washing.
My son does need a dope slap. He could have unload the dishwasher. Sometimes he does, and has to ask me the entire time where does everything go. You’d think he didn’t live here. Like you FCM, I prefer to load it myself, although I felt so bad yesterday that I would’t have cared how he had done it.
He is much better at tetris than I am, so it should be his job.
He also deserves another dope slap. He went upstairs to unclog the bathtub and came back down and told me there is no drain cleaner. I said there are two bottles in the closet. He says they are empty. I asked why are there two empty bottles of drain cleaner in the closet? He said because it’s easier to put them there. WTF!!! I said so you mean to tell me that it is easier to carry the bottle back out to the hall closet than to put it in the trashcan that is not that far from the tub?
Fortunately, I am as anal about drain cleaner as I am about toilet paper and there was a third bottle I hadn’t put it away yet :o

He got his classes set up himself, except for one class that I have the email with all the passwords. I should have used his email address when I ordered the books, but it was easier to use mine than to look up his.

Ripple is still feeling bad, poor boy. He didn’t want any of my pork chop, he even turned up his nose at cat food. He snapped at me when I tried to give him another aspirin half, but I can’t get too angry about it. He hurts. His back isn’t roached anymore, and his walk isn’t as stiff, but his face is still droopy and I know it hurts.
I hope I don’t have to take him to the vet because he could get dehydrated. The last time they were upset with me for giving him aspirin, which is what you do for shar pei fever, but most vets have no idea what it is let alone how to treat it. They’ll want to give him some other meds but can’t since he has had aspirin.

Happy that your mom gets to come home Cupcakes.

Congrats TB.

I have no clue what it is doing outside. My son has been doing all the letting of critters in and out. He also has taken over giving the cat his pills. He still says he doesn’t like the cat, but it isn’t true.

And leaping tree snakes; never forget the leaping tree snakes.

We’re supposed to go down to -7 or so with highs of 7 in a couple of days. Which brings on the age-old question of do I want to do a motor rebuild to replace all the seals on the Sportie just to say I rode in -7 weather. I have a couple days to ponder. A wind-chill of 48 below would probably be a new record for me. Although there could be kinfolks in the Old Country who could top it.

Howdy Y’all! ANNUAL MEETING has been survived. I am elected to The Vestry. The Vestry met briefly afterward and I am now Junior Warden. For your edification, the definition of wardens in the Episcopal church. Guess this means I get to act a little less retired.

TB yay for your son and good on you for bein’ there for support.

Sari glad Ripple is doin’ some better, poor little fella.
