Well, this Sunday the Ravens play Cleveland early and the 'Skins play Tampa late. I thought that some of the folks in the area might want to get together and watch the games. Y’all are welcome to come to my house, but it’s on the other side of B-more. Maybe a bar or resturant in between might work. Any input? I would like to just hang out and relax if possible.

That’s the same boat I’m in. It would be fun to have y’all over to my place, but (strangely enough) I’m just as far from you as you are from me;). I’m sorry to hear you’re not a big football fan, I could have fun razzing you about the shilacking my Ravens are gonna lay on the Brownies:D. If people wanna drive up here, that would be great, if not, does anyone know a good sports bar in the Columbia area?

Argh, I’m in the middle weekend of three in a row where I’m busy as a squirrel. My mom’s in town this weekend, and she’s leaving around 6pm Sunday night.
Just in time to settle with some cold ones and dinner to watch the Eagles on ESPN Sunday Night Football. 
And, oh yeah, Go Ravens!
Good thing NFL teams don’t mostly play on Saturday, else I’d be SOL. I have a picnic on Saturday but I should be cool for Sunday.
pld, what city are you in? Last week for weirddave’s movein we were about six miles or so away from Aberdeen.
Its not like Cleveland is going to win or anything…
pun, I’m in Alexandria, south of Old Town near Mt. Vernon. If it is at Dave’s, or someplace in Columbia, or whatever, I’ll make the drive.
weirddave, FWIW, considering the ass-reaming tax scam perpetrated on the city of Cleveland to build the new stadium, I consider it a moral victory every time the Browns lose. 
If there’s a metro stop near Alexandria, I can just hop on metro and get close enough to have someone jut over by car or tandem bicycle or something. If we’re doing it at Dave’s, Silver Spring Metro should work again, I’m thinking.
Should we all sign up for, like, soda or chips or such?
Two questions:
Will you be serving hot wings?
Will there be a place to change?
Would you show up if the answers were yes, Chiefy?
In any event…I’m SUPPOSED to be hanging out with some friends Sunday. However, this may change. So in other words, I may be able to make it. We’ll see.

Can I put in a “maybe”? I have to wait and see how my GF will be able to juggle this into our weekend plans.
Also, we would most likely only be able to drop by for a half-hour or an hour, just enough time to meet people, say hello, and drink a beer. Would that be totally inconsiderate on the part of a newbie like me?
On the plus side, any of the locations mentioned so far would be good for us.

Will the patio work?
I’m game, Dave! At your place or wherever, it doesn’t matter to me. I’d offer my house, but we don’t have cable, and the reception’s pretty crappy out in Calvert County. (I don’t watch much TV; it would cut into my SDMB/FFF time. :))
If it’s at your house (or anyone else’s), I’ve got a coupla twelve-packs of beer left over from a recent family get-together I hosted that I can bring along.
iampunha - if the party’s in the general direction of Baltimore, I can pick you up from the subway, but Addison Road or New Carrollton would be easier than Silver Spring. (Same offer is open to anyone else who’d like a lift from the Metro!)
There are several Metro stops in/near Alexandria; go here to see a Metro map (without surface roads, unfortunately) to give you an idea of which one’s closest to you.

Well, everyone seems game to come up here, so I’ll be happy to have y’all. Could someone coordinate with Iampunha to give him a ride? Phil, if you’re coming, you might be the closest to him. I am planning on throwing some burgers and/or dogs on the grill, will have lots of snack food and beer. RTF, if you can bring some extra beer, that would be welcome. Phil- IIRC, you and Peta are vegetarians, is this corrrect or am I just a bit loopy? If so, just let me know and I can pick up some Boca burgers or something- tell me your preferences. This is great! What we did last time (re: giving me a ride) was for John Corrado to pick me up from Silver Spring metro. If someone lives closer to another metro station just lemme know which one and what time and I’ll be there with clothes on (I refuse to wear bells).
Shall I assume, weirddave, that we shouldn’t any of us bring extra food except what was mentioned in your last post?
