In Praise Of Mumpers A Pat On The Back Mmp

Yet another testimony to the fact that one can never have too much toilet paper.

I bought a case at Sam’s this week btw. I was down to a dozen 4 packs!

I’ve been a pool slug. 'Twas nice. Now it’s all cloudy out and looks like we’re gonna get storms within the hour. I think I’ll call up the pizza place down the road and let them make dindin tonight. There’s sallit in the fridge so we’ll have our veggies too. I like that place. One can get a pizza that’s already to bake and bring it home to bake, so one gets it hot, fresh, right outta the oven. YUM! Or, for a dollar more they’ll bake it for you. I think I’ll get the bring home and bake kind just cause that way I can say I “cooked”.

BooFae yay for shadow gettin’ his stitches out. I trust the cone will come off too?

Showdown didn’t happen. Sharon didn’t raid the drug box (we counted), and the camera didn’t work. More details later.

Hee hee. Conehead Kitty!

Funny (and true) story - due to a combination of bad timing on my part and lack of appointments at the vet, Morgan got spayed just before the Xmas holiday break. When I picked her up on Dec 23rd, the vet tech assured me that she had been “very well behaved” and that they figured it was safe to send her home without the cone since she wasn’t trying to tear out the stitches.

What they didn’t count on is that poor kitteh had a mild allergic reaction to the stitches… so by the evening of Dec 24th, she was feeling most uncomfortable and decided her best option was to chew everything out.

Sigh. Seeing as the vet wasn’t open again until the 27th and the emergency clinics like to charge extortionate rates when they’re the only game in town, I opted for Plan B.

I used a styrofoam plate.

There is no sight in this world more pathetic than a half-grown cat wearing a dinner-size disposable plate around their neck. Trust me on this. I’ll post pix when I get home. (Og have mercy if I ever have children… all their embarassing moments will be forever commemorated in photographic form)

TGIF!!! Home, in grubbies, glad the work week is done - at least the office week is done.

Daughter has her interview on Sunday at 2 - so yay!

Gonna help **FCD ** wrap up his chores from today, then figger out something for supper. He’s been on the phone a lot - his current employer is in the panic mode, since he’s pretty much their only engineer (the other one they hired is a waste…) Apparently the head honcho is going to try to talk him into doing some consulting with them - I told him to say his rates are $200.

Party at my sister’s on Sunday, installing a french door tomorrow, windows open because it’s mild and loverly outside.

Off to labor. Laterz!!

Leaving tomorrow for Vermont and camping!

Skimmed briefly- hope all are well!

Kisses, hugs, trouts etc- use as needed!

<puts large styrofoam plates on grocery list for new and improved kitty torture>

It’s finally not humid!

There were tornadoes on Lawn Guylandt yesterday! Smaller than F1’s I think, but definitely funnels touching down in two spots that I know of, there were very like others. A friend of a coworker took some cool pics but I forgot to send them to my home so I could upload them for you. Ima do a web search - see if I can’t come up with something

Did I kill the thread?

Yes. Yes you did. Bad Bad BioRosie! No cookie for you!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Hi doggio!

Crazy day today. I’m going to take a shower and then watch Monk and Psych if they’re on.

We got the results of ReboSon’s GED. 99% on Language Arts,Writing; 99% on Social Studies; 88% on Science; 99% on Language Arts, Reading; 99% on Mathematics.

He’s smart! (I already knew that!) Why has he acted so dumb, then? Stoopit kids.

:: giggles about conehead kittehs::

When Blaze got his surgery, we didn’t get the cone. I used a t-shirt, and it worked great!

Tornadoes are scary, but I find them endlessly fascinating. I used to have a repeating [del]dream[/del] nightmare about one. I could look out of my bedroom window from my childhood home, and see the tornado from the Wizard of Oz bearing down on my house. I swear I could be a tornado chaser though… Tornadoes in New York sound a bit odd!

I got an interesting phone call today. Monday will be an interesting day. The Irish-German Financial Aid Double Team will be reuniting!

I have thread revival: Log in

I keep meaning to ask - where are the windows in the apartment?

But, but… it’s in the basement!!!

Or am I being whooshed?

No whoosh. Many basements have smallish windows near the top where the wall meets the ceiling - You might notice them from the outside and think little of them because they are so small

But, it all of the work in progress photos, I saw only one of those teeny windows in the bathroom. None of the living spaces seem to have windows. That’s just wrong

However, if there are no windows, they’ll be the envy of Southern Merrylande durin’ a tornado.

And on that note… time to say

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Home again, eating wasbi peas. Mmmmmmm. Lunatic employee #1 had a meltdown at my assistants. The he came back and melted down at me. I wish it was the Middle Ages, I would have him flogged.

swampy, small windows keep the zombies out.

Good ones, Spaz! Hope you get aid.

Rebo, I can’t wait to cone Thrak. He gets deballed in October.

Enjoy the camping, Soapy! Just don’t pitch your tent too close to Mr. Donner’s.

'scuse me?

Had a fun evening at an arts event. Now I’m watching the end of the Olympic opening ceremonies. I’m trying not to fall asleep - I’m tired. More tomorrow…

Hugs to all…
