Isn’t anyone else worried about MrBusGuy? He hasn’t posted here, nor has he returned to his own thread about being in the hospital.
(He was my white elephant sender last year, so there’s a special place in my heart for him.)
He’s been pretty quiet lately in general, picu. I checked his profile and it said his last activity was around 11:30 a.m. yesterday, so he’s at least been lurking. If he hasn’t posted by morning, I’ll bump his thread. (I also sent him an e-mail yesterday; haven’t heard back.) I think I have his cell phone number somewhere, too, so if all else fails, I’ll call…
I’m awake because we had storms move through here more than an hour ago and I haven’t been able to go back to sleep. Maybe soon…?

I had to take Shadow back to the vet yesterday for his post-op wound check (they like to see them 4-5 days after an op to check that the wound is healing ok) and the nurse said he can have the tub off his head in a couple of days’ time. The stitches won’t come out until Saturday lunchtime and they’re off to the cattery that afternoon so the poor lad won’t have much time to enjoy his freedom. Still, better than going to the cattery and having the shame and indignity of a cone on your head, right?
I took a couple of pics of him looking very sorry for himself, they’ll be along soon once I’ve taken them off the camera - bit busy at the moment but I’ll find time for it before I go on holiday on Monday…

I got the last of my immunizations yesterday for EMT school. But was it necessary to use a needle the size of a 3/4" OD water pipe? I knew it was gonna hurt when the nurse stuck it in my arm, and the guy on the next room hollered.
13, as much as I joke about alcohol, IRL I don’t drink for medical reasons other than addiction. My definition of heavy drinking is the week I go to church and take communion.

Morning. Thunderstorms all day, and Nat’s checkup and shots today, too. Aaargh. Fingers crossed that I can get him to nap before we go.

You’re welcome to the cranberry lemonade, I’ll stick with the beer! I haven’t been to the Welly for ages, luckily we’re planning a night out there in a couple of weeks’ time.
