I put some chicken boobs on the smoker this afternoon. They’ll be done soon. Thus, smoked chicken boobs for dindin tomorrow and I’ll prolly use the rest to make some chicken sallit. Smoked chicken boobs make a good chicken sallit! NUM!

Eww, that stinks FCM. Hopefully some nice person picked it up and either turned it in to the nice lady or will read your message on the bulletin board. One of my friends threw away her change and her Subway discount card the other day. At least it was only change from a $20, but still. (Oh, and yes, next Monday’s available - I’ll add you in.)
Congrats on the niece, LiLi. Hope you and Mr. Lissar get to be a good influence on her and her brother from time to time. I always feel so sorry for kids who are born to the clueless.

I do it when the wings are still blistering hot from the oven. Deep fried wings are really good, but I don’t deep fry at home, so oven baked it is. A very close darn second!
I’ve never had a problem with the sauce coming off- try blotting the wings before you sauce them- maybe the chicken fat makes it too slick. Or perhaps you are not cooking them long enough to get the skin super crispy to hold the sauce.
Damn, I want wings now.
I’ve returned from my errands and the oil and icky, icky air filter was changed.
I also bought some more dog food, a Thomas Guide, some gel insoles for my daughter, and a new pair of jeans. Down another size. I can hardly believe it.
My friend called me baggy butt in an e-mail the other day. The thing was, I was wearing the smallest size clothes I had. So, I splurged on a new pair of jeans, and will be taking the new work clothes I purchased in June to be altered. There’s no way I can justify not wearing those. They were kind of spendy.
The insoles for my daughter will hopefully make her feet a little more comfortable. Poor thing, she’s on her feet all day when she works at the deli and she’s been telling me her feetsies hurt.
FCM, here’s hoping that someone actually turned your money in. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Din-din today was another concotion. Started out as turkey sloppy joes, but the sauce was weak, then I changed my mind and decided I wanted some kind of casserole, so I added water to the sauce and dumped in a bunch of garlic and chili powder, boiled some shells and tossed it all together with the last of the shredded cheddar. Tres yummy.

No pix, but over the past week, we’ve been playing host to a pug with the unfortunate characteristic of squeaking as if they need to be oiled at 4 AM.

We’ve just returned from Best Buy where we purchased some new CDs, a plug in thingie for the lighter thingie for the i-Pods, AND cord to run the daughter’s laptop. :rolleyes:
I see no need to take that laptop along. Hubby wants to take it, daughter was perfectly content to let it stay home.
The purpose of these trips, for me anyway, is to get AWAY from the computers. Sigh…
It’s uncomfortably warm outside. I should get dinner going, but frankly, I’m not even hungry. However, I have ribeyes out and we certainly can’t let those go to waste. Maybe I’ll just do the ribeyes and a salad.

I have my resume together and two of the three references I need. I will contact #3 tomorrow, along with the woman I need to talk to re this new job.

I would just like to say: kohlrabi is teh yum. (Is it sad that I had to re-type the into teh?). When I went to look for kohlrabi recipes on Saturday, I came across this entry from Simply Recipes (really good food blog, by the way). I had a few slices of raw kohlrabi with just a touch of salt and then made a few of the quick kohlrabi pickles. Now I want to buy more to make a few of the recipes. Plus I think I have a recipe in one of my cookbooks that I really liked.
Shadow used to be…well, I can’t remember her name either. I believe this officially completes the name transition.
Last I looked, Draelin was listed as a guest. She had gotten a new job and was really busy. I’m guessing she just didn’t have time for the boards any more. I think rosie had her contact information at one point…
