Indian Summer MMP

**FCD **may be coming home tomorrow. He convinced his dad to get a wheelchair, and he can get around so much better than on the walker. Plus using the walker was exhausting. So we shall see how it goes the rest of today…

Still very cool, mostly overcast, and boring here. Except for getting up to move the sprinkler every hour, I’m mostly wasting time.

I have dog-parked, moved the trailer, and done the grocery shopping. I need clean the litter boxes, start some laundry, and pack. I’m feeling cautiously optimistic, which likely means I’ll miss my flight.

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated and then ended up not stayin’ for brunch. More on that in a bit. Our new Priest is tall! Well, probably about 6’1" but I’m five ten and a half so I say he’s tall. He’s also very personable and a fantastic preacher. His family is also nice. He has two daughters and they are little cuties! Not shy either. They walked right up to folks, introduced themselves and then asked the person’s name. His wife is a very nice person as well. The two girls sat with her throughout the service which was long cause the place was pretty packed, and they were quiet and appeared to be attentive the whole time. OK, brunch. There was a ton of food and enough tea and lemonade even. It was so crowded in the Parrish Hall, however. When I finished ush duty, which includes countin’ up the cash (a lot today) and walked in OYKW was standin’ there. We looked at each other. I said, “do you want to do this?” He said, “not really, how 'bout you?” I replied, “nope.” So we left and got a burger instead. I feel we made the wise decision. After that nappage occurred. Thus has been my Sunday.

I did multiple loads of laundry, cleaned Alex’s litterbox, dusted, vacuumed, and cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen. And since it’s Five O’clock somewhere, I poured myself a Sam Adams Octoberfest.
Panthers beat the Cheatriots, and it’s nice enough to have the windows open, so life is good.

I’m dragging, but I can’t go to bed yet… Gotta take the dog out in an hour. I should empty the dishwasher. I should. I will. Eventually.

Well, we caught up on all the do-things that needed done AND I found out I may be related to FCD. All in all not bad for a Sunday.

Skipped church today. Just too soon. :frowning:

I’m thinking the chance of you being related to my sweetie is, well, disturbingly possible…

There’s a disturbing lack of chocolate in this house.

This happened on Facebook didn’t it. I avoid the place and I miss all the good stuff.

I got everything done and I helped 'Beamer with homework, and emptied and loaded the dishwasher. I made it to the airport before my flight and I even have enough time to have a beverage and a snack before my flight. Traffic was a right PITA however. I spent the time composing a Pit thread about idiot drivers who have to look at every object by the roadside. It’s an abandoned car people. I want that 30 minutes back.

I might have 2 beverages.

::snerk:: what was I thinking? Last night, the forecast was on the no fly side of the borderline but what do weather folks know? Alarm was set for dark:30. At dark:27, I got an email stating that the forecast was accurate & that we were not flying. I intentionally brought the phone into the bed & left it with sound on so I could get that email. Okay I thought, I’d roll over for a bit & go back to sleep until I get up for Plan B. I got a total of 12 emails this morning, most of 'em real (ie. sent from a real person just to me) between dark:27 & less than two hours later, which meant maybe 5 more mins of sleep .
While most of 'em were real, I did get the same, “Hurry, registration goes up at midnight tonight” email from three different sources. The race in two weeks, I will be shooting (& maybe participating, at the end) in another race, & the two after that, I will be in other states at different events, & the final one on your calendar is Jambalaya Day, so I can’t make any of your races for the rest of the year but you need to have 3 different sources send out your email blasts before 6:30am on a Sunday?

I got up, went to the race (forgetting ½ of the stuff I should have taken), did it, came home; in < 10 minutes, I stripped, showed, dried, dressed, gathered gear & was out the door for other activities. The last one of those was the grocery sto. Came home, managed to get them all out the car & into the house, the cold stuff put away, & grabbed the gear I needed for the afternoon adventure…in < 4 mins.

Added one last stop to swing by my friends & pick up my (unexpected) medal from the race this morning.

Finally, I’m home, eating a few handfuls of Cap’n Crunch as dinnner; mebbe when I get up to get the rest of the stuff out of the car & put away everything (including the groceries) I can swing by the fridge to grab a glass of milk to wash 'em down.

I has lots of work to do before I go to bed but am physically about to fall over from exhaustion. (& typing here is wasting time!)

Well they both like motorcycles. Next FCD, goes full Amish.

No – another Dope thread. FCM mentioned that her FIL blew off the tip of his finger ages and ages ago with a home-made cannon. I have many/several extended cousins who have blown off things with home-made ordinance including several in the right age range. I doubt it ----- in my clan I would probably know if we were related. But the possibilities are interesting.

I may copy and paste this over to the new MMP.

Living in San Leandro, I can confirm the giant naked lady  She’s become something of a local landmark: “food trucks near the naked lady” & such.

Sassy just as a general FYI there is a new MMP out there every Moanday. So if no-one else responds don’t get discouraged.

(I can’t remember if you have participated in our madness before and I’m just too lazy tonight to check your post record)
