Inor, you are a liar.

FTR…

I can’t see how any reasonable person could conclude that inor’s original posts to you were threats.

They were obviously Pit-worthy insults that were twisted into real life paranoia.

Worrying about where inor lives is ridiculous.

I don’t think he was being completely unreasonable. I had a bit of a run-in with inor myself here in the Pit (I won’t post the link because we’ve since come to an understanding - I think - on The Other Board, so it’s over and done with).

Although I didn’t feel threatened enough to make a huge deal out of it (not that Ben did - I don’t know enough about what happened), I did send a link to the mods and I did remove information from my profiles here and at the other boards that would make me easily located.

I’ve only met a couple of you in real life and who knows what kind of lunatics you all are. Someone who makes threats or even veiled threats is probably joking, but I don’t want to be wrong and have some psycho track me down because he’s pissed that I don’t like Britney Spears.

I know that if someone really wanted to find me, they could probably do it based on random information I’ve posted, but I’d rather try to make the search as difficult as possible. It’s not being paranoid, it’s being careful. Very bad things do happen.

Oh, and by the way, when the thread I mentioned was going on, I checked inor’s profile to see where he lived, too, with the same thing Ben had in mind. It was far enough away from me to make me feel more at ease.

::: making note never to say anything C3 might misconstrue – she already knows what kind of lunatic I am ::: :smiley:

For the record, at the thread on the other board that has been referred to here and which Cabbage linked to, Rino (Inor) made a public apology to Ben – stating that he was doing it publicly rather than in e-mail since Ben had done likewise here.

I really think we can give this one a rest now.

:::wipes brow:::

When I first signed up on these boards back last July, I accidently got ‘noticed’ in a negative way by another poster. Within seconds this person started shooting off moment by moment vile nasty posts aimed at me, started a pit thread etc. etc.

It was unnerving. Because of that incident I removed my e-mail from my profile (actually I e-mailed a mod - I was so new I didn’t know how to do it) - I was concerned that this person who’d suddenly gone off the wall about something minor posted on a Message Board, would do something to me. Not necessarily physically, but certainly mucking with my e-mail account, certainly diminish my enjoyment of these boards.

You’ll notice that even eight months later, I still haven’t posted an e-mail. only about 4 or 5 folks (plus mods) have my address.

I’ve seen a couple of cases since then that remind me of that poster. I can totally understand some one being unnerved by that sort of random venom.
