Ben, first of all, inor is no longer allowed to post here so he can’t respond to you here. I suggest you find his email address and email him directly and keep the SD and the “other message board” out of this.
As a moderator on the “other message board” I will be posting a notice there (not giving you the link) to be aware of this post. I am not here to bring up issues with regards to the “other message board” but seeking out persons on another message board for revenge or other tactics is not really the best thing to do.
While I agree with the others that this issue should be dead, since that’s my post you’re quoting I went back to re read what inor wrote elsewhere (and no, I’m not providing a cite).
Ben’s right when he says he never wrote inor. I misremembered the very long post in question and I apologize to inor, who may be reading this. inor was informed by someone else of what Ben was considering.
But Ben, I have to say that even if I hadn’t made a mistake, it’s pretty low to attack someone who can’t defend themselves.
You seem to be missing the point. The key idea here is not that I didn’t email Inor; it’s that I never threatened to sue him or his ISP.
My sentiments exactly! Inor is smearing my reputation with his lies on another MB, and I can’t even defend myself because I don’t know where he’s posting them!

When I defend myself the only way I can- on the SDMB- what do people tell me?
that I shouldn’t bring it up on the SDMB, because Inor can’t post here. Never mind that I can’t post at Inor’s message board, because…
neither techchick69 nor Arden Ranger will tell me what the other message board is, because “revenge and other tactics” are “not really the best thing to do.” (Of course, techchick68 happily informs Inor of my post- why didn’t she inform me of his?)

Look, I don’t want to start some lengthy Pit thread about Inor. All I want to do is to set the record straight, because some people on the SDMB actually believe Inor’s lies. I would be happy to not bring it up here and deal with it at the “other board,” but apparently it’s a secret message board which must be kept hidden from me at all costs- so I have no choice but to address it here.

I don’t presume this was you or inor but the thing is inor is not “spreading” anything. Arden Ranger spoke incorrectly.
Leave it at that and presume that possibly the entire issue was misunderstood from the original thread to begin with, which is what I get after reading it all.
Perhaps you could give me the cite so that I can see for myself what’s going on, rather than worrying about whether Arden Ranger reported it correctly?
I am not shielding you from any secret message board but I don’t prefer that a new member of a board I am involved in goes over solely to “set the record straight” This leaves me very uncomfortable.
I am just asking you, if you have a beef, please take it up with inor in an email. According to him you have received an email from him, so reply accordingly and get your beef out there.
It was stated here, and by an Admin, that legal issues have been brought up because of inor’s response. This was not that inor stated anything to that matter, oh and it was Arden’s misquote.
If you choose to come over to the other board, you can but please don’t do it so you can start up a personal attack on anyone. I want to see this die a quick death as it’s not doing anyone any good considering the whole legal issue was an annonymous assumption based on an SDMB Admin’s reply in a forum and in email.
I am not faulting you…for all I know my replies to this thread are incorrect…don’t worry about it.

Believe me (as most can atest here) I have had more than my fair share of goofs…mine though are usually to a really serious degree, yours is just a trickle on the ocean of life.
I was just trying to focus on the fact that Ben is getting his UnderRoos in a wad over nothing and the fact that it really started via an SDMB Admin and the legal issue.

Words can be skimmed, words can be miscontrued, but from my own recollection Ben isn’t seeing the whole picture.
(I’m hoping I don’t piss anyone off posting that, but it does seem that Ben has a right to be aware of it).
I read through it a few days ago, but good God it’s long, and I’ll be damned if I can remember the details, or if I’ll read through the whole thing again. Skimming over it (very) briefly now, I’m not sure that inor/rino ever did specifically accuse you of threatening to sue him; if he did, it’s in that thread, which you’re free to read of course. All that’s apparent to me is that he claims you asked him to be aware of the possibility of a lawsuit anytime you threaten someone physically–not that you specifically threatened a lawsuit. (That’s just my take on it, you’ll have to read it for yourself).
A lot of this seems to have resulted from some misunderstandings and mistakes. From what I’ve seen (which is very little, admittedly), it just seems he meant his physical threats in jest (not a wise decision, admittedly). Then you essentially asked him to be cognizant of the fact that such talk invites lawsuits (not to imply that you specifically were threatening a lawsuit, which he took it to be).
I apologize if, out of ignorance, I’ve misrepresented any of the above. All I’m hoping to accomplish out of that is to set the stage for ya’ll to at least be civil about getting this cleared up, would ya please?

FWIW, I wrote TubaDiva asking for Inor’s profile info, so that I could verify that Inor lived too far away to do me any harm. When I mentioned that I was considering asking Inor’s ISP for the information, TubaDiva replied that they probably wouldn’t give it up without legal action. I don’t remember what I said in reply, but it appears that she misinterpreted it, whatever it was.
I don’t know, but I’m starting to wonder how much of a coincidence that we’ve recently had two posters get into arguments with you so heated that they had to be banned. Maybe it’s not just everyone else.
Given that DITWD was involved in a heated argument with just about everyone, I don’t think your argument holds water. After all, not only was he accusing me of being a Nazi, he was also accusing Gaudere of being an incoherent, raving atheist who couldn’t handle talking to Christians.
As far as Inor goes, I had never had any interaction with him until the day he popped out of nowhere and threatened to attack me. If I’m not mistaken, however, he had a long history of bad behavior with other people, and he refused to change.
Think of it this way: in all the time I’ve been on this board, noone involved in heated debate with me got kicked off until recently. Both of them had a history of behavior problems, and one of them had no interaction with me beyond a one-shot attack. Meanwhile, around the same time, a number of other people got kicked off who weren’t involved in debates with me at all.
Incidentally, in all honesty I should retract my accusation of lying. Inor’s comments were clearly the result of a misunderstanding, and I apologize for the accusations I made on the basis of Arden Ranger’s incorrect report.
Hey, I wasn’t trying to fault you, just saying that maybe you aren’t so easy to get along with. After all, in both cases, the posters were told that their behavior towards you was over the line, and they both decided not to change. Sure, they were both a bit prone to go off the edge, but they seem to have chosen you as the target of their rage. I guess it’s better than being attacked by people like gaudere, who can carry out a well-reasoned argument and make her opponent look foolish, than it is to be attacked by people with nothing other than ad hominem arguments.
