iPhone question: How do I get phases of the moon on my menu bar?

Don’t know if menu bar is the right term - the top bar with the battery symbol and time?

Mrs Piper’s iPhone has the time of day, and a little crescent moon.

Mine just has the time of day. How do I add the moon phase?

Thanks!

Settings / Do Not Disturb / On.

I guess it’ll give you the correct moon phase about twice a month. Rather more usefully, it’ll stop calls during a time period you specify.

Turn on the “Do Not Disturb” feature. That crescent icon is the indicator that it’s on. It does’t change phases.

Hmm - now I know why she never answers when I call her iPhone. . .

It’s a wonderful feature. I have mine turned on all the time.

You’re not a werewolf, are you?

I had this same problem, and thought it was the same thing…I wondered why in the hell I needed to know the phases of the moon! And I hadn’t gone in to Settings and changed anything…it just showed up one day. Then I started noticing I only got calls when I was actively using the phone. My kids started complaining about not getting through…and I realized there was a full moon out! Had to do a ton of googling to figure it out, as I couldn’t find a quick and thorough link to a site that would show what all those icons mean.

I will never tell.
