iPod Touch problem with WiFi

Looking for some suggestions here. It seems that, for reasons unknown to me, my iPod Touch’s WiFi is not working any more. Not sure what happened, but it’s not seeing any WiFi transmitters anymore. At first I thought the problem was the WiFi access point I was trying to attach to on the road. Sometimes those WiFi AP’s in hotels and such are hiding their SSID beacon. However, the iPod isn’t seeing either my home AP (which is in it’s list of saved AP’s) or the one at work (which, while encrypted has a broadcast SSID).

Is there any way to reset this thing or anything else I can try? When I turn off WiFi on the iPod and then turn it back on it says it’s on but then it sits there cycling through Choose a Network… indefinitely.

Thanks for the help!

This happens to me once in a while too. You can power it off by holding the front ‘home’ button and the top button simultaneously. A red slider will appear to allow you to turn it off, drag that across. Wait a bit then hold down the same button combination to power back on, you’ll see the apple appear. This usually solves my issues,

Cool…thanks. I actually didn’t know that was how to power the thing down. :smack: I’ll give that a try and see if that resolves the issue.

Mine had issues with WiFi a while back too, and I wound up having to reset. That option’s under Settings > General > Reset (all the way at the bottom of the screen). There are a few options on the Reset menu, but “Reset all settings” did the trick for me.
