So please explain to the ignorant here - what do you really want then if no bonking is going to occur? and if no bonking is going to occur, why the agonising over whether he likes you or not? I may be closer to 40 than to 20, but I have never understood the point of snogging without sex, if with someone you fancy and know a little more than from a boozy evening at the pub.
Thank you! I was trying to figure this point out as well, but I didn’t want to be rebuffed as “just a guy”. I mean, if it’s short term, and you’re going to be gone within a couple months/few weeks, why not go out and bonk a few?

My clueless male perspective is that he’s definitely not really into you. If I’m really into someone and say I’ll call them, I’ll call them. If anything, I’ll call them too soon. And if I am actually legitimately busy and am unable to call them, I’ll apologize profusely for it and really feel bad, not just ignore that issue and then act shame-faced.
And, as others have pointed out, don’t overestimate the hey-a-hot-19-year-old-is-interested-in-me factor.
