Is something wrong with the quick reply quote function?

One of my recent posts got screwed up, the beginning [ quote ] was missing, so the [ /QUOTE ] showed up. I noticed some other people seem to have an additional [ /QUOTE ] on their posts. Is it messed up? Has anyone else noticed this?

hmmm

Well, it added “Reply With Quote” when I cut and pasted to the Quick Reply box.

Dunno. Not sure what you’re doing. Not sure what the system is doing.

Can you replicate this and tell me the steps you took to replicate the situation? Then that will give us some direction to go in to see what might be wrong.

When you see a coding screwup in one of my posts, it’s usually my own fault. In the quick reply box, though, when you use the bold, italic, or underline functions, it’s different from the ones in the full size reply box. You have to click it before and after the phrase you are modifying. It is the same way with the quote button.

For example, to make a quote, you have to click quote HERE"Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!"AND HERE. So, it comes out like this:

With Firefox, the **quick **reply buttons seem to work exactly the same way as in full reply.
