It's a 99 Party MMP!

Well, I just woke up from my nap and now I’m afraid to leave the house.

So I’ve bribed PieDad to go grocery shopping for me.

Quick and easy supper tonight - leftover veggie soup and broiled garlic-rosemary salmon. I’m thinking a popsicle might taste good about now. So would a hot-fudge sundae, but all I’ve got is a sack of popsicles… <sigh>

The steroids seem to be doing the job - my poison hardly itches. Yay!!

That’s all I’ve got. Man, I’m boring tonight.

I was unable to nap and am now crabby. Don’t you all like my minute by minute play of my day and mood? I made pancakes and sausages for dinner. I am tired. I want to go to sleep, but now is too late to nap.

Started reading a good book of short stories by Frederick Busch: Don’t Tell Anyone. Very good writer, so far.

More work tomorrow at 0530…

Well, since we have no news from li-li and family, let me share my interesting week.

Do you remember my telling about my former BFF and how it all went down badly, and after several years of not hearing from her she suddenly found my myspace and emailed me, etc? After my initial conniption I decided to get over it and wrote back to her nicely, but not in an interested-in-being-too-friendly sort of way?

Anyway, Monday late afternoon my mom called, she and dad had to go to Everett to do some doctor stuff, and they decided to stop by a diner to grab a bite to eat. A diner called Kate’s. The one I told my mom that Shari (former BFF) worked at. So they are in their booth and a burly guy sits behind my mom. The manager/waitress ran outside for a minute and when she came back in she made a remark to the burly guy that it was cold outside, and the burly guy remarked that it really wasn’t, he had just come down from Alaska where it really was cold. My mom, bless her heart, perks up at the mention of Alaska, turns to the burly guy and says “My daughter lives in Alaska! Where are you from?” Burly guy answers that he is from Kodiak. “Really?” mom replies, “That’s where my daughter lives. She is married to Skiffman.” Burly guy says “Skiffman is my uncle-in-law”, at which point I realize that burly guy is Josh, my nephew by marriage to skiffman’s and my niece. Which, of course, means that my mom is now talking to Shari, my former BFF.

Well, mom and I laugh over what a small world it is, blah blah blah, and after I hang up from her skiffman calls me from the boat and we laugh over what a small world it is, and then I get the kids off to bed and am surfing the Dope when the phone rings again, at a little after 11:00. ??? I live a pretty boring life, especially in winter and when skiffman is out fishing.

Important note: in October I switched my phone service, put on caller id, and for the first time in my life went with a published phone number

I check the caller id, and OMG it’s former BFF Shari!!! Do I answer it, or do I let it go to the machine??? By the third ring I know that I am a huge wuss if I don’t answer it, so I did, and we talked for just over four hours. There were heartfelt apologies and forgiveness, and lots of remember whens, a lot of laughing our asses off, and all in all it was just fabulous. We have been sending emails and myspace messages, and, as she said today, the time was apparently right for us to mend fences. I feel a burden has been lifted from my heart, we had been so very close, had gone through great times and horrid times together, and there has been such a void in my life without her.

So, that is my interesting story of the week…so far! It’s only Humpday, after all, lol!

Wow, **kai ** - your story is way more interesting than the breakfasts and lunches I just finished packing for tomorrow. I’m very happy for you!

Obligatory update.

I feel like we are making progress today.

This morning I called the C. County Sherriff office and got the name of the person who is handing another case involving the Bastard. All I did was call the general Sherriff’s number, and say I had some information involving insert the Bastards name here that the Officer might find helpful and would like to speak to the officer. They coudn’t find a recent case, but an older case and gave me the officer’s name, a number to reach her at, and the case number. Ma seemed to be shocked that I was able to get that much information, but I felt that was progress. I called and left a message for both the officer and the police chief and this evening I got to speak to the officer.

She was shocked that he hasn’t been arrested yet, or even QUESTIONED. She was not happy at all. We went through everything with her over the phone, gave her the case numbers, and any and all information we had. She said that was going to work on the tonight, be in contact with the offier/investigator from P. County and give us a call back tomorrow with what she has found out. She sounded like she was disguested with how P. County was handling these things and I’m hopeful that things will be progressing now.

In other news we got the Order of Protection signed and the judge said that the Bastard can not request a court hearing to dispute the Order for Protection. I thought that was a VERY good thing.

I finally feel like we are moving forward.

Maybe the reason that LiLi hasn’t posted is that QD was right, and she gave birth to Hitler! [sup]10[/sup] Work went OK. I bought beer in case I’m snowed in(no beer and no TV make dogbutler something…something…)

Glad things are being patched, kai

Yay for the new Spazmobile!!

thanks for the update, beebs.

Yay for sticking with Curves, CutiePie!

Only 2 pints, BooFae? I’d switch diets. and work out with ABP

Yay for a good jduge, McUne

Sorry about the double post, i reversed polarity on my IntarWeb connection.

It’s a 2001 Subaru Outback. Manual transmission. I get to re-learn how to drive a stick this weekend (it’s been about five years).

Take me for a spin, baby.

Pie, congrats on the Curves progress!

Sorry for the lack of comments - I’m too exhausted from talking all day - watching brain-dead TV, ie American Idol.

Manuals rock! I just wish I knew how to drive an automatic.

I’m tired. It’s about bedtime here because I have to be at the shop at 5:00 in the morning.

Howdy Y’all! I worked twelve hours today and it was productive and lucrative even! Meaning I got stuff done, tried my hand at selling some inshurnce and gasp sold some inshurnce! I can make extra doin’ that some if’n I want. Ok, it’s not the first time I did it (twice last week) but I made more on the one sell I did today than on both of last week’s put together.

kai I’m glad y’all mended fences and reconnected. It’s always nice when stuff like that happens.

Still no TNC I see. Or maybe there is and QD or one of the husbands is neglecting duties.

Still no baby news?

Ouch. Just getting up at 5:30 exhausts me.

No TNC yet? o_O

I just found out I am eligible for a tax return on my SS and Medicare because of my visa status. Yay!

I just left a comment on LiLi’s blog asking for an update if they had one, either in comments or in an e-mail to me.

Glad to see things moving in a positive direction, McUne.

So, swampy, does this mean you’ll be able to adopt me so that I can quit my job?

Yes, that’s the kind of day I had. But then we had our book group meeting and that helped a lot with the stress reduction. We laugh a lot.

Too tired to write more…

Can’t type much - I have a furry appendage on my arm and chest…

:: stomps foot in impatience for news from LiLi ::

Wow, I can’t believe there isn’t any news on our new arrival yet. I hope everything is okay.

Work was rather blah today, but I got through it. I had to sit through a meeting that ran long. By that time, it was nearly 12:30, so I dashed down to the dining facility because their soup of the day was chicken noodle. I dashed down there for nothing, because there wasn’t any soup left. I was disappointed to say the least. Soup would have been the perfect thing for this crud that just won’t go away. At any rate, I got a salad, stopped by the shoppette, and picked up some crackers and green tea.

Appropriate yays, boos, etc to everyone. **MCune, ** I really hope they get that SOB sooner, rather than later and he has to pay for a looooooooong, looooong time. I’m glad there’s been some progress, and I hope things keep moving along.

What else…what else…

Well, I guess I got nuttin’. This crud is making me feel all fuzzy headed and I’m having a hard time remembering stuff. I hope it goes away soon. Sheesh, it’s been well over a week.
