Two loads of laundry are on the line. My studio is about 1/3 of the way cleaned. I brought my laptop down here so I can listen to Car Talk and WWDTM and whatever else is on WAMU.
Back to work!!

Back to work!!
The smoker is cleanded. The cee-mint pond is cleanded. No critters in the skimmer this time. I’m cleanded and am enjoyin’ some a/c and a cold soda water for a bit. Cee-mint pond time soonish.
Blurf!
Almost done cleaning. I’s hot and sweaty, despite having a fan going down here. Guess I’m working hard.
Time for me to get up and start cleaning.
Irk sent an email saying they needed help, so I logged in.
Now to clean up the kitchen.
Sah-son is still sleeping, but he needs to get out in the yard and do some trimming and cut up a few more branches. The tree out back never stops losing them.
It’s supposed to rain tomorrow so the yard needs to be done today.
A few daisies are blooming in the wild flower patch. We’ll see what else starts to bloom.
Sitting here waiting for my toenails to dry, getting ready for my brother’s engagement party. Makeup is gonna be fun - Weather Underground says it’s currently 100°, 112° heat index. Purtification may be just eyebrows and mascara - everything else is just going to sweat away.
Supper is whatever the teenagers cook here, and whatever the gracious hosts serve at the party.
I clean the racks & liquid pan & store them inside as fud touches them. The smoker itself stays outside on the back porch & I do not scrub out the interior walls of it as no ingestibles touch those parts.
Either way, you have inspired me; I went to the store(s) earlier. As of now, when I get home tomorrow I’ll fire it up with brisket, turkey london broil, assorted veal, chicken, & turkey snausages, salmon, provolone, & a couple of heads of garlic…& anything else I may be inspired to pick up. Suggestions?
OK, movin’ report. 2 packers showed up today. Packing was done. Living room is finished, except for the big-ass TV. I asked my husband to pretty please let the nice gentlemen help him pack that, but nope. I get to do that. The homework/game room is packed. The boy’s room is packed. For tomorrow’s loading day we need to finish the girl’s room. Bonus would be the dining room, but we’re really, really close on that.
Wednesday we have a second loading day, and that will be the master bed and bath, the kitchen, the laundry room and linens, and whatever ls left in the garage. I’m simultaneously overwhelmed and cautiously optimistic.
Back to my scheduled exhaustion.
My friendly neighbor and I just had a major disagreement - it was my fault; I don’t know if she’ll forgive me. I made a mistake, but she feels hurt, and I imagine betrayed and used. What I did was stupid really. But it’s my fault, and I did apologize, profusely, and will make amends at my earliest opportunity (which will be tomorrow afternoon). But right now my stomach is all turmoil-y, and I’m not going to be able to sleep.
She asked to be left alone, so it’s her move - but regardless of her decision, amends will be made
But I feel awful. I really feel sick. I am not a user. I do not take advantage (I’m usually taken advantage of). I need lots of hugs
I worked, I came home, I walked Gordie. Making Asian BBQ Chicken with rice for dinner.

I’ve showered and now I’m chilling in robe and slippers. I ate some cherries, but I’m really not hungry. However, I am exhausted! Long, busy day.
I’m thinking tomorrow, I’ll play in clay.
Howdy Y’all! We had a wonderful afternoon of festivatin’ at the cee-mint pond followed by a hyuuuuuuuuuuge meal. Now everyone is gone, dishes are all cleanded, we are all cleanded and soonish I shall retire for the evenin’ cause I’s tahrd.
{{{rosie}}} I’m sure your neighbor knows you are a good person and will get over it soon. If not, then she can go eat dirt.
Spidey I spray the interior of my smoker with a degreaser and rinse it out as a precaution against any grease buildup. The racks, water pan, and drip pan get a good scrubbin’. Then I put it all back together. I have this thing about grease with it bein’ an electric smoker and all. Just a weirdness on my part.
OK, off to check out a couple other things and then to bed.
Nitey Nite Y’all!

I put together the crafts for the heathen children for the next two months so that I could begin packing the studio. That’s about 1/4 of the way packed now. Chill time.
Aw {{{rosie}}}. I’m sure it’ll be better soon.
Or a RC Cola and a Moon Pie ------- I’ve made an extensive study of both concepts. ![]()
Pulled some doubles at work and worked my day off. ANYTHING to keep them from bringing in a herd of temps for the next couple weeks or madness. Any of you customers out there notice the fancy blue Prime tape on boxes this week?

I will now!:p:D
Thank you, sir — may I have another? :smack:
Not even one that lights up saying ‘lion tamer’ in great big neon letters, so that you can tame them after dark when they’re less stroppy.
No, I want to be an accountant!
Howdy ya’ll. Posting from Fleming Island, Fl. Just south of Jacksonville. Met my dying friend and her son and sister and niece. Denise, my ill friend, is just like I knew she would be. Putting on a brave face and a smile. And vowing to fight. Her son took me and Renee out to a steakhouse tonight and said her Dr gave her three months to live 2 months ago. Very sad.
We went to her house and I got a set of beautiful china and gold and silver flatware. Also a few items of clothing. He offered much more but I didn’t want to appear greedy. Renee only took a few things as she said she would never use the other set of china. She got some sci fi collectables and Harry Potter stuff and Dr Who stuff.
We are going to visit Denise again in the morning and hit the road before lunchtime so we can get home before dark. The trip up only took us 8 1/2 hours and was very good. Went fast. 80 MPH. Here’s hoping the return is as smooth and as quick. We traveled the entire length of FL except probably 50 miles.
Rosie hugs to you.
Ah, the life of a buckaneer!
