It's A Rainy Night/Morning in Georgia... The MMP

gt, it’s a pretty big set, 32" I think, and it works perfectly, so I’m not going to junk it. If nothing else, I can offer it for free on our local classifieds website or freecycle. But the women’s shelter is my personal organization for support, so they get first shot - either for use in the shelter or to sell if they can.

Looks like I’m going to have to call Best Buy today. Per a phone call last night, they had to cancel our original order, then reenter it in order to get us the blu-ray and wireless adapter added. I got an email about the cancellation, but not about the re-order. So when they open tomorrow, they will get a call. Or a visit…

Much stuff to do today around the house. BIL is coming tomorrow for the job interview, so I need to get the guest room ready. Plus I have some bills that need to be paid the old-fashioned way. Plus the girls who clean for us will be here tomorrow, so we’ve got to declutter for them. Busy busy. And I’m awake early because of Scruffy, but that’s fine. I can read my funnies while the household sleeps, then whip everyone into a frenzy tidying.

Oh yeah, then that football game later today…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. It’s a chilly Sunday mornin’ here in south Jawja.

MOG’s bday bash was a huge success. We ate. We drank. We laughed. We made grandma jokes. She was havin’ trouble uploadin’ grandbaby (a girl if I haven’t mentioned that already) pics on her facebook page, so she brought the disc with the pictures to get some help. Of course that led to carryin’ on about helpin’ poor ol’ grandma show off her granddaughter on them thar intertoobz. She asked if she’d hear grandma jokes everytime she ditzes out from now on. “Of course you will!” we replied in unison. Anywho, she now has grandbaby pics on her facebook page. As it was happenin’, I did three posts with pictures and captions which were gettin’ replies. I replied back with a comment that I was not MOG and a cookie to the first person to guess who. So, we played with that for a while until I got found out. Now I have to take a cookie to church this mornin’ for the winner. Think I might go by the sto’ on the way and buy a package of Oreos bein’ as I happen to know Oreos are the winnahs fav-o-rite cookie ever.

MOOOOOOM I’m sure the women’s shelter will be glad to take the teevee. They could use it, or one of the women there could possibly use it, or if they have a resale store or do like a yard sale, it’d be a hot ticket item. I donated three teevees like the one you’re describin’ to our church yard sale a couple of years ago. They sold right off the bat. Yard sale folk like that kinda stuff.

Rosie I vote for the first LOL. It made me giggle.

Ok, need to feed rumbly tummy and see if I can roust OYKW. While I was of a temperate nature last night, he was really into the Bloody Mary’s and thus might not feel real good this mornin’. It’s also brunch Sunday but what with all the preparations for last night’s celebration, I did not make anything and thus shall skip brunch. Besides, I gots turkey ‘n dressin’ to eat. Can’t do better than that!

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Well, Taz is back on The List. He just peed on the love seat!! I caught him as he was “burying” it, so I dumped some enzyme stuff on it. After we’re all up and about, I’ll get out the carpet/upholstery cleaner and take care of it. Stoopit cat.

FCD, for whatever weird reason, calls Charley “Chow Lee” in a really hokey and borderline offensive fake accent. He’s totally out of his mind - I think the desert got to him…

Leftover pizza and a diet coke have been consumed - breakfast of champions!!! And I’ve brushed my teeth - they were starting to offend me. Now I’m all Crest-i-licious! No more morning mouth. Yay!

**BBBobbio **will be happy to discover that it’s sunny and purty here today - so he won’t be unloading the truck in soggitude. And I can tell he’s going to be a great friend here - he didn’t ask us to help him move! Maybe as a welcome-to-the-county gift, I can give him ChowLee! <insert evil cackling>

Wonder when the rest of the household will get up??

Personally I think ChowLee would be a rather warm, wonderful, and thoughtful housewarming gift.

I know you’re on your way, but have a safe trip BBBobbio. Happy Movin’!

OYKW is not stirrin’ as predicted. I was a good bear and was very quiet in the bathroom and bedroom gettin’ myself all purtified. He said it’s not as bad as he thought it would be. I brought him two aspirin and a glass of water at his request and he is now re-crashed upon the bed. Poor thing!

I knew I was totally justified in my :smack: when Culinary Boy announced that he had uploaded his gmail contacts into his cell phone. It was a :smack: to the tune of $75 extra on the phone bill this month. I hope this will firmly reinforce the fact that WE DO NOT HAVE A DATA PLAN ON THE PHONE.

:smack:

I worked a total of 6 hours over the last two days. Detailed AGM told me that I really shouldn’t have come in at all yesterday because it was so slow. While that was nice because it meant that I was able to go out for BBQ with the Boys yesterday, it will not be nice when I get my paycheck. I really need to find a job that isn’t hourly paid.

Good morning pipples.

Polar rousted me out of bed to let him potty at around 5:00 this morning. This is letting me sleep in, because usually it’s around 3:00 am.

Anyway, I fell back asleep on our big comfy chair and got up around 7:00.

I’ve consumed a large cup of coffee and am ready for my second.

I need to find some quick, easy and transportable appetizers to make today before 1:00. We’re going to a friend’s place to watch the Superbowl. After that, I have to come home and pack and try to go to bed early. The airport shuttle will be here at 3:05 in the morning to take me to the airport. What this really means is that I will lie awake until 1:30 or so, get up and take a shower and sit up until the shuttle gets here. This happens every time.:rolleyes

Yesterday’s trip to the mall was depressing beyond belief. Nothing like having to buy bigger clothes to validate how fat one has become. The odd thing is this. Even in the days when I was fat, I never had a gut. I carried the weight in my thighs, hips and hiney. I actually have a gut now and I’m icked out. And…I also packed back on in my former problem areas. It just pisses me right the hell off.

I’m working out, but nothing is happening. Logically, I know that it’ll take time, but day-um, it’s taking forever and I seem to be getting bigger, not smaller. Arrgh.

I was so depressed that I actually pulled up into a mini-mart parking lot with the idea of buying cigarettes. I sat in the car for about five minutes wrestling with that idea, but in the end, I didn’t buy them. I soooooo wanted to and even now, I want nothing more than a smoke.

Don’t do it taters!

I made it home and being as I had been up since 12:30AM Cali time I was crashed out by 7:30PM last night. Worthless wife that I am. And I am already checked in for tomorrow mornings flight. I’s tahred.

I did some laundry last night when I got home now is time to re-pack it. WE have invites to a big superbowl party this afternoon but man I am really not sure I have the energy. Did I mention I’s tahred?

Happy moving bobbio!

Yay for the willpower, taters!

Appendages crossed for an event-free moving day, VBob

Shrink changed my med because I seem to have built up a tolerance for the one I was on, and hit a plateau of utter blah-ness - Today, I feel pretty okay.

Ima echo emmmms and say, “Don’t do it, Taters!” I will add, though, that even 2.5 years later, I still occasionally crave a cigarette. Oh and if you haven’t had your thyroid levels checked, get that done; low thyroid levels make it harder to lose weight.

I’m up and caffeinating; have taken some of my meds and will take the rest later. I’m making a beef stew today that I’m going to roast the root veggies for it. We’ll have that w/rice and yeast rolls for dinner. Tomorrow is my daughter’s 29th birthday! And doesn’t that make me feel just ancient!

Poor Taz; he does seem to have a revolutionary (or is that revolting?!) streak to his little bengal self though! Maybe that should be poor FCM!

Hope everyone enjoys their Super Bowl Sunday - go Green Bay!

Glad you feel good, Rosie!

Yay for not buying cigarettes, Taters.

Breakfast has been consumed, dishes are washed, the last load of laundry has been put away, chili is made. The only thing left to do is clip coupons and go grocery shopping.

We convinced Dad to come out to the bar with us and eat some chili and meet some of our friends. Just for a little while, then I’ll bring him home in time to watch the game. (The judging is before the game.)

Go Packers! (I don’t really care that much, but I hate the Steelers from way back in the Love Ya Blue days. <The Houston Oilers>)

Super Bowl? What’s that? I’m waiting for the Puppy Bowl.

This is a Bears household, so we are not acknowledging the Super Bowl this year.

I need to go to De Craft Sto’ to get a new H-size crochet hook since I snapped mine last night. :smack: Then I’ll be ready for the Puppy Bowl.

We went back to Best Buy to straighten out the TV order, and all was well. Plus they gave us our blu-ray player and adapter, so all we need now is the TV. And daughter got herself a new printer, and I got a new computer. I just need to copy all the important stuff off this machine and get ready to dump it on the new machine. So I may be offline for a bit soon…

Lovely day here - very sunny out, tho chilly. It won’t last, tho. They’re threatening snow for Thursday. Ick.

Good on you for having the will power, Taters. Just keep plugging away at the diet and exercise. And have a safe trip tomorrow.

Hope the move is going well, Bobbio.

Glad the party went so well yesterday, swampy. Food sounded yummy.

It’s just kinda blah out today. We did the deheathenization + brunch routine and are now home to relax a bit. I’m invited over to a friend’s for dinner. Her hubby is having a friend over to watch the game. I’m invited to watch as well, but neither my friend nor I are fans, so I’ll be skipping that one.

Off to knit for a bit and maybe put away some laundry. Yes, I know how to have fun.

GT

I’ve got the last batch of cheese straws in the oven. I used Swampy’s recipe. I should have doubled the batch because my husband keeps eating them!

I’m taking them over to our friend’s house for Superbowl festivities.

Why have I never watched the Puppy Bowl before? This is equal parts adorable and hilarious!

I’ve now been nominated as one of my sister’s research monkeys. I’m looking up some information on the Flatiron downtown for her. She’s doing her thesis on kitsch sculpture in NC. Stuff like the Flatiron, theHigh Point Dresser, the Old Salem Teapot, that sort of thing.

Okay, now back to the tv. Puppies are doing puppy things and there are hamsters in a blimp.

I’m on my new computer - how do I look!

I hate having to set everything up all over again, and on Windows7 it’s a special pain. But I’ll figure it out eventually, I’m sure.

Back to futzing…

That’s all it took to trigger a “Zorro the Gay Blade” flashback for me.

OK – the Old Granddad I had with lunch helped some but ----------
Taters - I smoke and they can have my cigar when they pry it from my cold dead fingers. Left hand of course - I prefer to shoot right handed. But DON’T DO IT!!! Stick it out. I know you really really want to be done with the damn things so my hopes and best wishes are yours.

Yes, dear.

(Can you tell I’ve been married for 35 years?)

I hate setting up a new machine. Everything was just so on the old one… Oh well…

It is nice to be able to use the monitor as it should be used - my old computer didn’t have the ability to drive such a big screen as I wanted it to.

Now, to subscribe to Netflix…

I took a nap. I want to go back for another one but we are headed to a SB party. Donwanna.
