Still blurfy. I am going to bed with Val tonight. Need a change. Her last name is very odd, it’s ium. Come on Val. I need a good night of sleep. And with that the freaking cat is outside begging to come in so I must get up one more time. Just when I was in the mood. Stoopit cat.
As for the question in title of the MMP, I was hoping to start this week with a tale of shooting (kind of) on the run & Russian currency; but a bum knee put a kibosh on that story; mebbe mid-August for a second ‘shot’ at it?? That & a front with excessive rain & thunderboomers meant I got to sleep to a reasonable hour on Sat morning instead. Sunday I decided to sleep in a wee lil bit…all the way to 4:45.
Amazingly cool day ahead - we’re not supposed to get out of the 70s!! The house was open all day yesterday, and the same for today. It rained a couple of places along my commute - it’d be nice if it would hit our house, but I think it’s moving in the wrong direction, dammit.
But it’s another day in paradise! Happy Tuesday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 70 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 89 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Perhaps some quality cee-mint pond time is in store for this afternoon. This mornin’ I shall attend a funeral over to the church house. The family is receivin’ friends etc at ten a.m. and the funeral is at eleven. I am assistin’ with ush duties cause, well, I can and want to do so. Corinne was a member of St. Pat’s forever and a day and had cancer. I kind of expect a largish crowd on hand this mornin’. Other than that, maybe a load or two of laundry is in store.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should start a load of laundry and purtify. I must needs wear my proper funeralizin’ attire this mornin’. Glad everything is inside except the committal which is in the Memorial Garden at the church house.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Happy Toosday!
It’s another cool day. The windows are open and I am enjoying the fresh air.
I’m glad to have my toilet back, but now I don’t have a dishwasher. I guess that line needed to be bled too and I have no idea how to do it. If I can’t get it working I’ll have to have the plumber back out.
Other than that SSDD.
Sorry about your friend Swampy.
Did the plumber leave a valve closed?
Never heard of having to bleed a dishwasher line. It has water coming in and a drain line going out - like a sink. **flytrap **could possibly be right about the valve…
Taking a breather before diving back into the mess on my desk. I don’t understand the one guy - he brought back a drawing telling me I need to save it on sheet 1 - that is, have sheet 1 on the computer screen when I hit Save. He could have done it himself when he opened the drawing and saw that it had been saved on sheet 1. Weird…
OK, no more whining. Back at it!!
I suppose he could have.
The water is running everywhere else.
I can’t find any info online other than to open every valve in the house, one site says to start at the bottom, another says to start at the top, one says to close them in the same order you opened them, another says to close them in the reverse order.
I hate to have the plumber back out if it is something I can do myself.
Although somebody will probably be out today or tomorrow anyway, that is what they did when I got the furnace. Somebody came out to inspect the job.
Yes, there has been a tie on Jeopardy! Alex asks a tie-breaking question, and I believe the first the ring in correctly wins the game. Doesn’t happen often. previously.tv has a Jeopardy! forum of rabid Jeopardy! fans (including me) so you could wander over there. We are nice but like to diss contestants for swaying, taking too long to choose, or saying “um”
The internet was broken this morning, but my roommate’s brother fixed it.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing shift tonight.
Sorry about your friend, swampy.
The Vitamin D worked yesterday so I’m going to start taking it daily again.
Not too much going on here. I’m cleaning up my story files which is more of an undertaking than it needs to be. Those people who say “keep every draft of every story because you might need it later” are idiots. Some things need to be deleted.
I should take more vitamin D. I keep forgetting.
LUNCHTIME!!!
That is all. I’s hongree!
blurf At irk of course. Slept really good. Getting ready for EOM and marathon bill paying. I have to irk Sat and am thinking about Sunday too but probably not.
We are off on the 4th but if I had more help I would not be closed that day as it is a very busy time.
Not totally — the Dope has been a bit under the weather all morning for me. I made one post, one little post, and then everything went to Hades. I am prepared to take the blame.
I’m working on the 4th. That will be the real ramp-up into Prime so ------------- it should be interesting this year. The general pressure of Da Jungle is already getting to people (we’ve had a dozen self-terminate as we call walking out to never be seen again) over the last two weeks. What is it going to be like when our volume doubles? It should be quite a show! ![]()
Bubba and I had a pretty good night. He is eating again, but not drinking yet. So, I’m hopeful.
I suck at confrontations…
Got the dishwasher working.
A very simple fix, pour some water into the bottom of the dishwasher.

I added a little vinegar since we have hard water up here.
I feel so competent now.
Thanks for the condolences y’all. Corinne was a great lady and will be missed by many as evidenced by the fact that one hunnert and sixty eight people showed up this mornin’. Had da bear scramblin’ for extra service bulletins, tellin’ church folks to share and get over it if’n you don’t have one all to your self. I could have said, “You’re Episcopal, open up the dang Book of Common Prayer to the Rite II Service for the Burial of The Dead, Communion will be Eucharistic Prayer A, it’s all right there.” Anywho all went well and the service was a wonderful tribute to Corinne. Fr. Jim gave a fantastic Eulogy, two of her grandsons did scripture readin’s, another gave a short Eulogy, and her sister read poem which was surprisingly non-sappy.
I got back to da cave, changed, made me a sammich and now I’m in chill mode. 'Tis hawt out and I do not feel like quality time at the cee-mint pond so I shall stay in the a/c.
Guess what? Guess what! Spins in circles - very excited
I am getting one of these. squee
Thursday I’m going to pick her up. Hubby went for it. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
