It's Always Monday Somewhere: The MMP

We went out for Mexican for supper - yum!

Yard guy came and he’ll be calling us with an estimate tomorrow.

I’m going to knit the night away. Behave while I’m otherwise occupied!

You steal one goat, ONE. STINKING. GOAT, and you’re branded for life.

Yeah but what about the fluff and dry?

Home from Evenin’ Prayer. ‘Twas a nice service. Today is the Eve of The Feast of The Visitation so that’s what the service was about. So, The Magnificat played a big role. I am just a font of Wikipedia this evenin’ ain’t I!

Now I shall go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy bye time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Second stormy night here in OK. High wind and hail expected and we have the first lightening flashes and thunder if the first wave starting. Second wave around midnight. Time to get the weather radio set up again. LibbyCat is currently running laps around the house at every thunder boom.

Kanga, I’ll answer your unasked question & request an answer to a different one in return.

Don’t know how it works in your area, but around here, our local EOC (Emergency Ops Center) has three distinct jobs:
[ul] Dispatching PD
Dispatching Fire/EMS
Answering 911 inbound calls[/ul]

You start on the dispatch side, dealing with ‘professionals’ who (hopefully) know how to talk on the radio. This is much less stressful & somewhat easier. After a successful period, you can move to the answering inbound calls - this is where the “fun” stuff occurs, like Bobbio’s earlier post, like trying to figure out where someone is (Umm, sir, that road runs east-west, you are not traveling Northbound)
Where’s the pooch, make the trip with you?

Lil Miss Rowdy is back in California. I so wanted to bring her with me, but:

  • I am on a severely limited budget
  • I’m living in my brother’s home, and he’s not interested in having pets
  • my mom needs the emotional comfort of the dog
  • the dog’s needs will be met by her and my older brother
  • my dad likes the dog and interacts positively with her

So, I will see her when I go back for a visit, and Mom’s talking about moving out here in 1 1/2 years, come hell or high water. So, I’ll get to see her again.

I do miss her terribly. Once I’m on my own and have some money ahead, I will definitely be getting a couple of pets.

I know who I’d like to fluff me ;)

Kanga hpe ya get your pooch soon.

Chill day has been nice. Watching all the Harry Potter movies on the DVR. Never got around to seeing the last 4.

Sue me I’m pedestrian.

Found an old fun Youtube that always makes me smile…

:dubious:

Is that ALL you did with the goat?

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis <snerk> 69 <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 96 and hawt! Tomorrow I have to go travelin’ around the territory, so natch, tstorms are predicted in the afternoon.

Now I shall seek out more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Maybe.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

Good morning!! **FCD **decided to sleep in today, so I got to sleep in a bit, too, except for getting up 3 times to pee. Overall, I’m feeling pretty rested. Yay!

Big chore for today is the lawn. And a load of unders.

Forgot to share this bit of news - daughter’s classroom saltwater aquarium suffered a major disaster. Last Thursday, before the long holiday weekend, her anemone died. Since the starfish was feeding on the remains, she just left it. When she came back on Tuesday, everything in the tank was dead except for Snailzilla - a huge snail that also survived th hurricane last year, which was when we gave it to her.

Her aide was really broken up - she really loved the fishies and such, and it was hard for her to help remove the dead critters. We’re pretty sure the decomposing anemone is what poisoned the tank, but without some water tests, we can’t know for sure. Anyway, Snailzilla is now in our tank, feasting away on algae, and I’m hoping daughter will bring the dead tank when she comes today. We want to clean the live rock then put it in our sump.

It was lovely and cool overnight, and it’s still in the mid-60s - perfect for mowing. I really should get out there. Really. I should.

I hate mowing the stoopit ditch. Nasty, dirty job. If any of you really loved me, you’d be here doing it for me…

<crickets>*
<sigh>

Guess I should put my shoes on…

LibbyCat and I made it through just fine. The doomsday/apocalypse predications from local weather did not happen. Got some heavy rain overnight but the house is still standing. 87 and sunny today

Off to get some blood drawn. I was supposed to go Tuesday but forgot and ate breakfast and yesterday I had an early meeting. So off I go today!

Would that not be a bunch of tiny red and white dots?

Getting the oil changed before heading into the last day of work until the 13th. Long road trip vacation which will include a trip to Toronto to see the hockey hall of fame, a Blue Jays game and dinner with Li Li! (sorry, can’t do bold on the phone)

Lawn is mowed and even tho it’s still cool out and I mostly just rode on the mower, I’m all sweaty. Next is a load of whites into the washer. Then I think I’ll run to the grocery store to restock the pantry.

The only other big excitement is that today is my payday. For a few glorious days, I’ll feel rich. Then the mortgage is due and I’ll be broke again. And all because my parents lacked the foresight to make me an heiress. grrrrrrrrr

**CatDude **- give **LiLi **a hug from me! Then if we ever meet, I’ll hug you! Tho we kinda sorta did meet by proxy, since you met my sister…

It was very early.

I have a nice bruise and a very sore arm where she stick the needle in. Ouch.

Not much going on here. No more storms for a few days so there is that.

**FCD **surprised me by coming home early - he’s taking off tomorrow too. I got the laundry done and folded, and I’m about to empty the dishwasher and tidy the kitchen. Mostly lazy day…

I got some of the miscellaneous stuff packed up. I’m saving a lot of it until Saturday.

My favorite coffee cup is missing. Mooch has no idea where it is. I’m so sure. I’ll ask his wife later if she’s seen it.

As for revenge, I’ve figured out what I’m doing: pinhole leaks in bad places. polishes evil bitch badge

Dindin was leftovers from the past two nights. Now the fridge is all cleaned out.

Spaz that sounds evil!
