It's hurricane season in the MMP

I have everything necessary to accomplish that, and Kopek would expect nothing less.

Now that they’re clean, keeping them clean is relatively easy with stuff like this.

Thanks for the Happys everybody! The big excitement for today shall be driving up to The Dalles to go to the Safeway store, where we will procure a small cake, and some other consumables. We may also plant a few plants Wifey bought yesterday. We need to figure out a way to keep the deer from eating them, though. Pesky rodents of unusual size.

Right now Ima just play on the computer and wait for my promised waffles.

Happy Toosday, y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I am doing a load of whites, minus the couple of pairs Gordie is doing his “sketchy perv dog” thing with.:dubious:

Dollar Tree: when you’re so over Wally World’s strict dress codes, and high falutin’ manners.

So now you have a couple of screws loose?

of course, you took away the best birb watching spot. Also, I will clean for beer. Blowing stuff up is just icing on the cake.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bumba!!!

Late to the party, but…
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUMBA!

Afternoon all. The electric bill is paid and banking done, so I’m inside again as the temperature approaches 90F. HVAC is on and damn the expense. Lunch has been consumed.

OW, that was a fine story; I can remember getting the room AC out of the basement and into the windows in Ohio when I was young. Now you’re hard-pressed (at least here in N. Ali-bama) to find a house without Air.

And keep an eye on the cat until it finds a new perch it likes (or at least tolerates).

Sari, glad ripple is feeling better, have fun getting rocked…

And right now I don’t feel like nappage, as long as I don’t lie down…probably should do a couple loads of laundry instead.

I have been given to understand that it is sticking out a second floor window.

Happy Birthday Bumba!! Many solicitations and yada, yada, yada!

Well the Movie Marathon is up and running again. I found another box of VHS tapes. The Grandwrex are so fascinated by them. This box of tapes came from My Daddy’s house. Some are not appropriate for younguns. But we’re picking through them.

I may have to start showing them the camcorder tapes I made when the kids were little. Yes, I think that’s a great idea! Dang, I’m a genius some days!

Just finished building a chicken salad and tidying the kitchen. Roxy is up from her nap and hanging downstairs with her folks. **FCD **is napping. I’m not sure what to do for supper tonight, but I’ll figure something out eventually.

Yes, they are both in second floor windows. I may look for something like that for when I bring them in later this year. The particular product that was linked is for car AC units but I saw lots of other options on-line.

And, of course, there’s always the “allow unit to fall from window and replace it” method.

Everyone was masked and socially distanced at the salon, and they disinfect everything between customers. Now my hair looks good (until tomorrow, anyway), and I have no place to show it off.

Happy Birthday, Bumba!!!
(Am I too late for cake?)

MetalMouse, no worries on the seven years. I was dept. chair then; she’s department chair now. A big bully in the department went way over the line and was very nearly fired for it. She supported him right up to The Incident, and that’s what she’s sorry about. He’s giving her all kinds of grief now, and she needs some help with curriculum stuff, which I had lots of experience with and actually helped develop at the state level.

Hats off to you, OW. I can barely disassemble my coffee maker to clean it out. Hope the kitty finds a new windowsill to claim and conquer.

doggio, you crack me up! Fighting off murder hornets with our homework!

Moooom, count me among those who read “rubber chicken.” That’d be a fun little surprise for the family some night.

Happy birthday bumba! (you share a birthday with one of my nephews)

swampy, I occasionally misplace my heat pack (just a sock filled with rice that I microwave), therefore, I have two of them. Right now, I’m missing one of the masks that Sis made for me. All of this in a 560 square foot home.

OW, when I lived upstairs in my last apartment, the two times that I replaced a microwave, I called for a teenaged boy. No shame in no longer being willing/able to schlep something that heavy up a flight of steps by yourself.

It was pretty slow at irk this morning, so I cut out at lunch, came home, donned riding gear, got Nelson and headed to where my bike is stored. I left him there with my friend’s basset hound, Elvis, to hang out in the fenced in back yard with the friend’s nephew to ride herd. Then we took off for an afternoon of wind therapy. Does wonders for the attitude.

I have a question for those of you who are more techy than I am: All of a sudden, Windows 10 decided to mirror my screens, rather than being able to have something on one and something else on the other. How do I fix it? I have searched the intertoobs to no avail and rebooted (which did even weirder things to my icons). Oy, where is a kid when you need them?

Evening all. Still hot (86F) and the AC is working hard to keep up. The fans are stirring the air some and that helps, but I am not dressed for company. Third load of misc wash is tumbling in the dryer right now and the Tuesday Mac-n-Cheese is being consumed. After that comes some internettin’, readin’ and TV’in’.

Nellie, I’m impressed. State level stuff is not easy to develop, much less getting everyone to sign off on it.

Becks, if it keeps the kids amused…I traded in my VHS player last year and don’t use my DVD player all that much…nothing I particularly want to watch.

Have a good night now, everybody.

I finally got my hair cut. The Son-in-law somehow procured clippers, and The Daughter did the honors. She complained because she didn’t do it “perfect,” but I was so delighted I DIDN’T CARE,

Later, I saw the box for the clippers, and no wonder The Son-in-law managed a miracle in finding them They are DOG clippers!

I haven’t started scratching my ear with my foot, or tried to lick my butt, but I do crave a dog biscuit at bedtime…

Happy Birthday Bumba!

World events have me stressed out. I don’t know how the hell we fix our society.

Red why don’t you start a thread in GQ? Someone on the Board usually sorts out the computer questions fairly quickly.

I went to the dentist this morning and he’s sending me off to get a root canal. Wahhhh!

Stay well and safe everyone.

Salads for dinner. Romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, hard-boiled eggs, blue cheese, and mushrooms. I had blue cheese dressing. Mrs. L.A. had thousand island, and no blue cheese.

And wine.

My brother-in-law died this evening. He’s at peace now. I want so badly to be with my sister. She’s a very sweet person–MUCH sweeter than I am, I assure you–and really needs her siblings around, but we each live 500+ miles away. And if that weren’t enough, she got scammed yesterday.

metal mouse, I donated my VCR and any tapes that were left when I moved the last time. I still have a DVD player, but it is fixing to go to Goodwill, along with the DVDs. It’s too easy to stream stuff.

sunny, this is the only place I post on the boards and has been for a few years (don’t y’all feel special? :stuck_out_tongue: ).

I’m sorry nellie. You and your family have likely already done your grieving, but there’s still some left over when you realize that someone is no longer breathing.

G’night, y’all!

My condolences to your sister, and nelliebly, I hope you find peace.

Sit back for a while, and recall some fun, loving moments about your brother-in-law. Write down a few notes so you can easily recall those moments. And then, call your sister and share those memories. The memories of him from other people will give her comfort now.

Nellie I’m sorry about your BiL. {{{Hugs}}}

Does anyone know if Spidey is ok?
