It's Jeopardy Online Test time, 2011

Don’t know what they use as criteria, but judging by my past performance they will take amusingly incorrect answers into consideration.

It was my first time going, and was completely blindsided by the speed of it. I think I got 27, depending on how lenient they are with spelling/partial answers. I hit a few brainblocks - such as simply not being able to force my brain to put “Gengis Khan” into words.

I think they will. That seems to be the consensus on the Jeopardy! chat board, and the question does not include the article.

I got a whopping 20…woo…

Though I’m surprised I got George I right, since I just picked a king at random, :stuck_out_tongue:

Doh! did worse than I thought under pressure, even though I knew who or what I was thinking of I was thinking of, I was in too much of a hurry to completely turn the idea in my head into the right Proper name.

Unless they give me credit for spelling “Coventry” as “Canterbury” and “Emma Lazarus” as “Ezra Pound” as

That was moderately disastrous. I blanked on Jane Austen, even!

Damn…I even got the wrong female George! I put Sand instead of Eliot.

Tougher than last year—I think I did well, but left 3 or 4 blank…

Not a test for novice trivia dabblers.

In 2008, I got 35. In 2009, I got 34. In 2010, I got 28. I think I may have changed the trajectory of my scores this year; I’ll see when the answers are posted.

Sand? Elliot? Bugger.

And yeah, I blanked on Jane Austen too, and vomited Alcott on my keys.

Other that, and one or two others, I feel pretty good about that.

Plus, one at least 2 that I didn’t know the answer and couldn’t come up with a decent guess, I put funnies down. Hopefully that helps.

What royal house did Jacobites want to restore? :smack:

The Mary Ann Evans one. She was George Eliot.

I wrote “Plantagenets”, but I’m pretty sure I got that one wrong.

It was actually the Stuarts, so I did get that one wrong.

I thought I did pretty well, in spite of being a novice in trivia.

That having been said, I’m concerned what happens to the answers where I wasn’t finished typing, but it cut me off before I hit the submit button…That could make or break me. It was one of those, “I had one letter!” left things.

I should have been allowed to use the “enter” button instead of the submit one.

This one I got. Stuart. Jacobites wanted to put James II back on the throne after the Glorious Revolution replaced him with William and Mary.

I panicked and said Bourbons :D.

So, they say they don’t ever release the scores, so how do you know how you did?

And yeah, Stuart. Than good for doing the Outlander audio book recently. lol

They will eventually post the questions and correct answer in this thread on the Sony Pictures Jeopardy message board. You just compare answers to what you remember answering.

Someone seems to be putting up the answer keys; I’ll be curious to check that out, and see if I can remember how many I got right!

There’s a YouTube video up already… I got 40 right. Whew!

Do we have any idea what a “passing” score is?
