Yeesh, I got 33 on Tuesday’s test (the one that counts) but 41 on this one.
I wonder if they will have the same cutoff for both? If so, there will be lots of players from the Central time zone next season.

You are SO not right.
I couldn’t take it: I’m one of those people who would be disqualified. My BIL worked for the local ABC affiliate. So I’ll just have to live vicariously through you guys. Best of luck to all who are taking the test: I’m rooting for you!
ALMOST LOG-IN TIME FOR LEFT COAST!!!
Best of luck to all!
To warm up, I watched 11 reruns of “My Name Is Earl.”
You can take it even if you’re not able to compete; there’s a box you can check if you want to take the test just for fun.
I don’t like the way Alex is looking at me. He seems too “I really hope you studied for this” in his facial expression.
I thought exactly the same thing!
Turns out he was right.
skip Q2 due to complete blank… then, while answering Q23, I literally yell out loud “Carrie Underwood!!!” :smack:
I had to go the IMDB to remind myself that the face I knew so well, and whose name I knew before the test, was Penelope Cruz.
I did okay. I think.
I just took the Pacific Time test. I don’t know for sure, but I feel I did much better on the test last year.
Oh, I’m quite sure I won’t be called after that one… I did a lot better on the 2007 test and at least got called for the in-person part.
Damn UPS guy showed up right in the middle of it. No one has knocked on my door in weeks.
THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I DID WITH CARRIE UNDERWOOD!! Shit. :smack:
I had to work post production on a Behind The Music episode with her and I still couldn’t think. I think I did better on the last 25.
I just took the pacific time test. I’d originally signed up for the central one, but slept thru it, fighting a cold.
I thought I did ok, but I need to go find the posting of the answers again
I pretty much spanked it. I might have missed 5 or so. The pop culture ones, like the damn Carrie Underwood/American Idol question, were way beyond me. I despise that show, so how the hell would I know that?
Osmosis. I’ve never watched American Idol either, but I somehow knew that they had one winner who was a country singer, and her name was Carrie Underwood. I think it was the uniqueness of her chosen genre that made it memorable.
Same with The Big Bang Theory. Never watched it (besides random clips), but I knew of it, so the lyrics that were quoted gave me the answer.
Hmm. Now that I see the full transcript, I didn’t do nearly as well as I’d thought/hoped.
Looking at the transcript, I got about 30% right. I blame the UPS guy for me losing $millions.
Not necessarily. I got 38 or 39 on the Eastern, then took the Central, where I got from 32-34, depending on how some of my spelling is scored. Looking at the western just now, I got 41. The Central was the only one where I wasn’t hitting my guesses. I got an audition last time I took the test, no chance this time.
What was your score when you got the audition?
It was three years ago, so I don’t remember with certainty - I missed the last two tests because of the 18 month rule. I think it was around 37 or 38. Definitely not above 40, however.
Son of a bitch…I meant to do the test last night, but completely forgot until basically a minute after it ended…crap.
I am now wondering if I should read the list of questions from Thursday night…I mean. if I do, and I am like “damn it I knew all of those!” I’ll be even more pissed…
I just told my wife, an avid fan, she missed the test, and she said, “Well you stay on The Dope so much, you shoulda told me!”
Wimmens!
Thanks
