Well I’m definitely not going to be selected. Never underestimate the value of a good night’s sleep the night before; there were a number of questions whose answers I’m sure I knew at some point in my life that just wouldn’t come to me.
I also blanked on Madden and Siebold. I did get the Lost Symbol, though. I think the test went well.
So what happens now? Do you at some point find out how you scored? Or will you just get a “kiss off” letter? Or not even that? Will you only know how you did if you make the cut?
I’ve merged Sampiro’s thread from Cafe Society with this one in The Game Room.
My understanding is that you only hear anything if it’s good news.
I didn’t get either of those two questions right. I knew the answer for about half, felt like I made a good guess on another quarter, and had no idea for the remaining quarter.
If they call you. They don’t give out scores and they don’t notify you unless you’re “chosen”. I’ve passed the audition twice in person and I’ve taken it several times online (where I’m not sure what counts as passing- in person it’s 40 out of 50 IIRC) but have never gotten “the call”. Le sigh.
Stupid water music, I could not think of it until 2 seconds were left, and I don’t think I got it in, and as the 2nd or third question, I was pissed at myself through the rest of the test.
Man 15 seconds felt really fast this time. Not looking too good for me unless I guessed every questionable one because I flat out didn’t know(or couldn’t think of) 10 or 11 of em.
Thanks- didn’t know there was one there. (As a Charter Member I don’t associate with those “New Forum” riff-raff.)
Sacramento was the western terminus btw. (I thought I mentioned it above but I didn’t.)
Agnew was the last VP to resign wasn’t he? I can’t think of a more recent one (though I was wondering “did Rockefeller resign?” but no, he didn’t.)
These may be the only two questions I got right.
Yup. Rockefeller didn’t run with Ford in the '76 election (Bob Dole became Ford’s running mate), but he did serve out the term.
I really screwed up a bunch of these. I blame the pressure of numbers counting down.
SF instead of Sacramento, Hayden instead of Handel, nothing instead of Nicholas Nickleby.
The worst was that I typed “Rubber Stamp Tax” instead of “Rubber Stamp Act.” D’oh, d’oh, d’oh.
I totally guessed and got Nicole Richie. That might be my only get.
Ahh crap, total brain fart on that one. I saw the category “before and after” but my brain processed was thinking of “rhyme time” and the best I could come up with was “Lax Tax”
Looking over the questions (they’ve now been posted at the Jeopardy Forum), I guess I didn’t do as badly as I first thought. Googling after the fact has helped reassure me that I’m probably in the right range for getting a call.
I still don’t know why Sacramento was the western terminus for the intercontinental railroad. It’s not even on the coast! Stupid 19th century-ians!
Yeesh…I got 24/50…
I thought I did good this time
Looking through the list of questions on the Jeopardy forum, it looks like I got 32 right. I’m suspecting that’s a little too low to qualify…does anyone have a feel for what sort of score gets you a callback?
37 out of 50. No idea.
Looks like I scored 37. Would have had 41 without choking.
No one knows for sure, but the consensus is that the cutoff is around 35. However, there are also limited audition spots, so even that does not guarantee anything.
Beatrix effin Potter!!!
What’s wrong with my brain?
