It's Moanday So It's Time For A New MMP

& make Swampy happy, too.

The answer is…it depends.
I’ve seen differences between Google maps & Garmin; sometimes one is better that the other, & sometimes the other one is better. They’re pretty amazing that they can figger out a route that fast, but sometimes I know better than they do. Fer instance, I’ll put it on for the first few miles until I get out to a main road & then just leave it on as a guide for ETA home, but then turn off to my preferred route, which, when all is said & done is faster than their supposed fastest route.

.Did you post what they did? Poor baby and both of you.

You forgot about the celly after he does a filthy dangle, and buries one Five Hole from the top of the crease.

Moooom, none of them are precise until you’re enroute. According to the various sites, the 400 miles to my dad’s house takes anywhere from 6-9 hours. Depending upon what time of day I start, what time of year it is (winter or construction), when I hit Louisville and Indy, it can be at either end of the spectrum and that’s not considering accidents. The WAZE app that sparkles mentioned keeps you up to date on all of that and will route you around anything that is going on in real time.

Have you been drinking? :dubious:

of course!:p:D

Doggio if no one else had to expect that.

Makes sense to me.

Some sunlight today, so I ventured out of the building during lunch. My eyes reacted to the brightness by pretty much asking “what is THIS you’re doing to us?”

Irk was good for at least two middle fingers. The callers were decent, if overly numerous. It’s manglement that’s using my last few nerves for tightropes. See my post today in Workplace Rants.

With the Princess, there’s no way I could do an actual puzzle. She’d have the pieces hockeyed all over the place and maybe even chew up some. Thankfully, I have a quite decent jigsaw puzzle app on my iPad.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 39 Amurrkin out and clear (OK, dark but TWPTB say it’s clear so I’ll go with that), with a predicted high of 57 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I did not post after my first post yesterday. I got caught up binge watchin’ a Netflix series Grace and Frankie and watched all of season one. I have no idea why I did that except I got into it and couldn’t stop myself. I shall do better today. Probably. Maybe. I do need to go to the Pubic Sto’ today bein’ as it is geezer day and I need provisions. OYKW called last night to say he is bored out of his skull with this meetin’/trainin’ thing and has two and a half more days of it to deal with, bless his heart. I feel for him. I remember those days. ICK!

I read but retained little so yays, boos, hugs, noogies, trouts, chitlins, and how you doin’s all around as needed.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify to be seen in public at the Pubic Sto’. Rah.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

I watched 2 seasons of Grace and Frankie, but it felt too forced or something - like it was trying too hard. Which is too bad, because I like most of the actors - I don’t think Jane Fonda is that good - I always feel like I’m watching her act rather than watching a character in a story.

Have you seen Schitt’s Creek? It’s absurd, but I’ve found it entertaining in its absurdity.

Weird dreamage last night but I mostly slept, so there’s that. We’re back in January today - not getting out of the mid-40s, alas.

My daughter called last night and we chatted a while. I hate the slight delays on the cell phone - we end up talking over each other. But the grandbaby is fine and she’s in 3rd trimester. Tentatively thinking they’ll come here in mid-May.

And on that note, I should start to attack this pile of stuff on my desk. They keeps me busy, they does!

I wonder what causes that. The satellite delay between C-Band and cable was about two seconds. What else would cause that, a lot of cell towers?

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing shift tonight.

I love Grace & Frankie. I’m not starting season 4 until I have an entire day to binge watch. Lily Tomlin is a national treasure and I want the name of Jane Fonda’s plastic surgeon. I don’t know what the weather did last night, but it produced icy glaze over everything. The salt trucks were out in full force but I was still nervous driving to irk. I used my Frost Guard just in case there is precip while I am liberrianing. Frost Guard https://frostguard.us/ This thing rocks.

Up and being semi-productive working on some DCNR stuff. Weather turned cold again so it can warm up for the weekend and we got a light dusting of snow. Now to consider what kind of leftovers I want to have for dinner.

Blurf It was all misty and foggy this morning which is rare here.

Moooommmmm When is the baby due?
I have to go to Active Shooter training this afternoon. fun, fun.

Have a Great Day all.

Nuts, hope the skin problems sort themselves out soon, if only temporarily. I suffer from exzema, psoriasis and rosacea in varying degrees so I have also been hearing for many years about the many and various things people have tried in order to “cure” it. I switched from dairy milk to lactose-free and found it made a huge difference, but that’s just me. I’m sure the same doesn’t work for everyone, else the pharma industry would be out of business.

Middle of the week and it should be pub night but one of our friends is not well so she isn’t coming out to play tonight and her partner is staying in to keep her supplied with hot drinks and sympathy. Probably just as well since it tends to be a late night and I am very tired today. 'im indoors is quite excited about it because it means we could squeeze in two whole episodes of The Wire (I hadn’t watched it before and he’s re-watching with me) and we’re close to the end of season 1. He laughs about the fact I insist on having the subtitles on but half the time I can’t make out what people are saying, and the other half I’ve got no idea what they’re talking about anyway. Subtitles at least gives me half a clue.

Feel better sickies, and sick pets!

The Wire was shot in my home town. I can see why you’d have problems understanding what people are saying sometimes, assuming they have authentic Baltimore dialog. I’ve never seen the show, but I lived in Baltimore for 19 years before running away to join the Navy.

Lunch break! Very busy morning - one project is getting close to wrapping up and all of a sudden I’m getting a lot of drawings that need to be tweaked. None if it is difficult, but they’re high-level models, so they take a *loooooooong *time to load. Much thumb-twiddling is involved.

**Butters **- Baby shows up in mid-April, theoretically. I think my daughter said 17th, but as far as I’m concerned, due dates are a crap shoot. The kid will show up when she’s ready. And yes, it’s a girl, but PLEASE don’t let that get out on FB - Daughter is keeping it quiet because she doesn’t want to buried under frilly pink baby crap. Plus there’s some sort of shower game involving not knowing…

Serious lack of chocolate on my desk - I may have to wander to the snack cabinet.

My lips are sealed. Girl babies rock. Congrats. You will have a ball with her.

That term makes me all stabby.
Active shooter as opposed to what? Passive shooter? Inactive shooter? It’s a completely utterly totally useless, BS descriptor, yet it is the buzz term.

But you get two w/ a boy baby. :stuck_out_tongue:
