It's Monday Which Means It's Time For The MMP

Spaz everybody deserves a 30th bday blowout.

Dindin is almost done. I even let OYKW man the grill!

I’m waiting for *someone *to tell me what he wants to do for dinner. I’ve been crocheting and watching TV. We watched a 2003 version of The Hound of the Baskervilles, but I suspect they took liberties with the story. I’ll need to read it.

Other than that, boring day. I did 2 loads of laundry, so there’s that.

In aquarium news - neither of us have seen our arrow crab in several days - he could he hiding, or he could be fish food. Time will tell…

Yay! I got my most important homework done. I promised myself I wouldn’t go wandering about and having fun tomorrow if I didn’t get my homework done today. So, I’m about 1/3 of the way there.

Dindin was good. Adult libations were good. Note I said were. No more cause well, I don’t want anymore. I’m bein’ responsible.

Supper was Bert’s. Tonight will be TV and crocheting. I’m outta here! MWAH!!!

Beddy bye time at da cave. Nitey Nite Y’all!

My next most important homework is done!

Yay, Sticky!

Just got off the phone with my nephew and his friend. They’re on their way back from a car show (my brother is driving). 13-year-old boys are silly.

Am watching a movie online and about to knit.

Hugs all!

FCM - Yes, folks got it right, I don’t want to wade through a ton of video, and even with digital media I only have so much I can record on.

Congo - I don’t have my old camera with me so I can’t remember for sure, but I think its an Panasonic AJ-D910WB. Our shop has steadily been losing cameras and decks to a lack of spare parts. I feel for your sweetie, however I speak as a user & abuser, not a fixer.

Swampy - We? Well, okay, I’m flexible.

Got back from my friend’s house a couple hours ago. He’s doing really well for colon cancer I suppose. He’s going to get surgery in a couple weeks, have to wear the bag for 6 weeks then get it reversed. Then 12 more rounds of chemo. The good news is his wife says recurrence is 4% for his type of cancer, and they got it early.

Looking forward to a quiet night.

I’ll never do anything that would ever get me thrown in prison. It’s not the loss of freedom or the gangs or missing society or anything like that. It’s because they don’t serve stroganoff. Dude, I can’t even imagine.

So, do you have a favorite recipe, lieu? It’s always been one of my favorites, too.

Tired. Have to get up early-ish to take brother to the airport.

Nitey, nite friends…

Hugs.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 45 Amurrkin out with a windchill of 43. Well brrr! Today’s high shall be 58 and windy. Again, late Winter in south Jawja.

StickyBuns we trust all the homework is done now. :dubious:

giggity bein’ flexible would come in handy. I like you. You flirt back!

Now I go in search of more caffiene. I think I shall allow OYKW to honor of takin’ me to brekkie before deheathenization today. Generous of me ain’t it!

Happy Sunday Y’all!

ETA: I want stroganoff!

Good morning, peasants and other little people!! <insert royal wave here>

I think today is the day I finally swap out the speakers on my computer. Which means I’ll have to tidy my desk - I guess I can manage that. Daughter is coming over with her doggeh to visit this afternoon. I’m thinking I’ll boil the chickie carcass and make soup. But mostly, no plans for the day.

My sweetie finished off the stroganoff yesterday, but I’m thinking I’ll make some again soon. Too bad I don’t remember how I made this last batch. Oh well, it’ll become like my sketty sauce - never quite the same every time.

**Tugig **- glad your friend has a good chance of getting past the cancer. That’s got to be one of the scariest medical words there is…

I hear **FCD **in the shower. I was going to let him sleep in, but I guess he just can’t handle being without me. I should hit the shower myself, but that would require moving… eventually…

Happy Sunday!! Do we have a volunteer for tomorrow?

All this talk of knitting reminds me I have an unfinished kitty blanket that needs to lose the prefix.

I guess I’ll have to go to the grocery sto’ today. I’ve been putting it off. Or I could just wait until tomorrow when the store opens before noon. I forgot where I lived for a second.

And my keyboard died as I was typing the above. Frickin’ frackin’ wireless keyboard. At least the mouse has a little light that blinks when its batteries are going out.

I found my dad’s book of recipes! I think there’s a stroganoff in there; I know there’s a most excellent and easy to prepare (heck, I’ve done it) bœuf bourguignon.

I haz a headache.

Swampy, of course my homework is done! Well, ok, I haven’t finished the homework that is due on Thursday , but I think I’ve got time left to tackle that one.

All this talk about beef stroganoff is making me think it’s time to do a grocery run. I have always enjoyed the ‘I’ll cook for myself’ aspect of being on my own. One of the hardest things to do is remember portion control. I tend to cook large batches and work off them for days.

I think I might make coffee. If anyone here knew me they would know that is a rare thing - I enjoy coffee but I don’t like making it often. I am thinking I need the motivation, 'cause I have to go visit the place I left and pick up some more of my stuff. A two hour drive to do something depressing doesn’t thrill me.

Ah well, could have bigger problems.

Good morning all!

Okay, well so much for coffee.

Between the last post & this one I got up, went in the kitchen, pulled out the coffee maker, opened it up and…

The future ex-Tugig (who was the coffee drinker between us) had decided to give me the coffee maker. I assume that it was 1) because she was trying to be nice and 2) because she didn’t want a large coffee maker for herself. So she had packed it up and put it in my pile of things to go and I took it. That was a few months ago.

So fast forward to today, I pull it out and open it up to give it a quick scrub & make some coffee when I am greeted by a huge lump of hardened, multicolored mold. Yup, she hadn’t emptied it before she gave it to me. Three month old coffee grounds.

Oh well, I don’t believe it to be intentional. So it’s taken me about an hour to strip, scrub and run it with vinegar and now clean water. I don’t think I’ll have coffee today, but it’s ready for next time.

I gotta start going through my stuff to see what other surprises await…

Morning! I am up. caffeinated, and not working. I did not have a teddy bear as a child. I did have a life sized red, white, and blue stuffed basset hound named “McKeever”

giggi, eww. She didn’t leave you a rice cooker, did she?(Indy, why does the rice…move?)

This is a survey - has anyone else been getting tons of spam from various yahoo.com addresses, specifically for, um, performance enhancing drugs? In the last couple of weeks, I get 2 or 3 a day, always from different accounts, but always yahoo accounts. ick.

**Tugig **- mega-ick!!!

It’s been a productive morning. Apart from the requisite showering and dressing, I’ve taken care of the kitchen and helped my sweetie take the hood off the aquarium so he could repair a bank of lights. I also cleaned the cat box and changed out the recycling bag, since it was full. It’s a pretty day, if cold. A loverly Sunday in southern Merrylande!
