Yeehaw, it’s baseball time! All day long, on TV, game after glorious game. As a lifelong SF Giants fan, I cannot align myself with the closest team to my home (dreaded Dodgers), so I will continue to root for the Giants, and on occasion, the Padres. Why the Padres, you might ask? Well, they are probably the only team I will visit in person this year. Plus, those fish tacos just taste so damn good in the fresh air.
Check back on about Oct 1. Both teams will win 82 to 86 games this year. The Cubs will be better than last year, the Sox aren’t nearly as good as some are predicting. Neither will make it to the playoffs (sigh).
Cub’s ah the Cub’s
Living in Houston our history is not yet as rich. Alas we have the “LAstro’s” or disastro’s. And they play in a wonderful place known locally as"The juice box". We may never be able to capture the devotion the Cub fans have shown in all thier years of torture. But we are trying. At that, I wish the best to the Cub’s, except when we play them. We start tommorrow and I can’t wait.
Twins vs Cubs in World Series. (The I-94 Series!)
Twins win on a 7th game homer in the bottom of the 9th by A.J. Przien…uh, Pryinsk…, um, Pzyrkikisnicki…that really good catcher guy!
Man, you are setting yourself up for a long, hard fall. What kind of Minnesota sports fan are you? Haven’t you yet learned the whole “Yeah, they weren’t too bad last night” bit? Sheesh, talk about jinxing them before they even get going!
