And the winner for the car I’ve owned the shortest length of time is my 2003 Accord, which is still in the shop. It’s going to be replaced by a shiny new (well, newish since it’s a 2013) Honda Civic that is a hell of a lot nicer than the Accord. Problem solved. And I guess I get a car with a bow on it for Christmas anyway.

We just had our holiday luncheon. It was pretty good, but they neglected to order any beverages without sugar. Tonight is my departmental dinner at the Chop House, so I will have done no cooking beyond assembling and nuking my egg sammich for breakfast today. 
I did sleep through a Rabbi’s sermon once, but that was because I’d been up all night the night before studying for a midterm.
Wait - so a delivery of 1000 papers would yield a whopping $100?? By the time you pay for gas and taxes and such, maybe you pocket enough for lunch?? Man, didn’t delivering papers *used to be *a good way to make some cash?
I’ve finished all the stuff assigned to me and I’ve just got about an hour left, so I’m done. 
I’ve checked in all the stuff I was working on and I’ve left paper copies on my desk for any coworkers who cover for me next week. **FCD **is off tomorrow, too - YAY!

Home from irk early in the quest to use up leave. Tahred. Need to figure out supper and need to clean my house but it’s not likely to happen today. For sure this weekend I intend to really give the house a good going over. Our housekeeper hasn’t been around much.
Home and officially on leave till a week from Moanday. YAY!! I need to remember to do my time card for next week - the site was down this afternoon, or I’d have done it already.
We’re going to DQ for supper - I rather enjoy their mushroom-swiss burger, plus, yanno - DQ!
That’s all I can manage for now.
I have to skip the chorus holiday party tonight. The weather is wet and rainy and crummy and making me ache all over, plus my sinus headache is pretending to be a migraine again.
I can sympathize. I had to call out today “thanks” to a sinus headache not letting me get some desperately needed sleep last night. Did manage some sleep, with OTC help, after making that call. Weird to not have any school stuff to do.

Today has been busy, which is good. Working to get a new computer system online for customers by January. It’s been months putting it together (too many chiefs, not enough worker bees caused delays, oddly enough).
Now I’m off to the pharmacy and to pick up the Kid 1. Then back to irk.
