My favorite line as well… I have now watched it a dozen times and sent it to all my friends. Cracks me up. I’ve never really watched Flight of the Conchords, but that was priceless and it led me to a couple others that I loved, particularly “Bowie in Space”. I was total Bowie fanatic and that was a really great tribute, all the mockery being clearly affectionate. So thanks!

Well sure it is, in the appropriate forums. GQ is for strictly factual answers and GD (and Elections? I ain’t spent much time on the newer parts of the campus) requires valid cites for credibility, but AFAIK there is no rule against embellishing a good anecdote anywhere that anecdotes are officially tolerated.
Sure, if you get caught out in an implausible porky you’ll be jeered at, but it’s not like it’s not allowed. Goodness, where would some of our most timeless SDMB threads (Nazi groundhogs, anybody?) have been under such draconian constraints?
Storytelling is way different from socking, which AFAIK is a bannable offense.

I wouldn’t be too hard on him Richard Pearse. He seems to lack a certain capacity for understanding the ethos and social interactions that take place here on the SDMB, and absent that understanding, I might suspect he sits somewhere on the autism spectrum.
