It's Time Again for Stoid!

According to her own words, she paid a guy to do yardwork using her prescription meds and sees no problem with it, and she gave people valium prescribed for a dog because they were feeling down. Trading drugs for money or services is dealing drugs, and giving people drugs that they weren’t prescribed is abuse by the basic definition of the terms. Your claim that she is not a drug abuser or dealer is clearly false based on things that she chose to declare openly that she has done. When part of what you say is blatantly false, in brings into question everything else that you’ve said - you’d make a better character witness without the false statements about drugs.

I can’t really muster much sympathy for her in this case because she was so nasty to the vet who obviously was worried about her propensity for handing out and selling prescription meds to people. And the fact that you’re trying to deny her drug issues, which were the cause of the thread that led to this pitting, is what drew me to post here.

You guys are doing a great disservice to people who are victims of real drug abuse. Get some perspective!

Valium for dog seizures? We’ve had two dogs (one in the past, one currently) with seizures and the vet gave them phenobarbital. Every so often the dog has to go in for a blood test to make sure his dosage is right (and I suppose to make sure he’s actually getting it and we aren’t stealing his drugs).

Except the dog…:shifty:

Stick it up your arse.

When I have to spend 3-4 hours a day flat on my back because I can no longer get enough pain meds to be active, I call ME a victim of drug abuse*.
And that abuse is caused by people who think passing out Sch III substances like candy is ‘normal’, everyday things ADULTS do.

    • the DEA, citing a huge increase in the number of opiates being prescribed, jerked the chains of EVERY doctor - not just the pill-pushers.

Oxycontin is the Poster Child of diversion. AKA ‘White People’s Heroin’.
I am on morphine - I would have liked to try Oxycodone. Due to its abuse, I don’t dare ask for it.
So I am now building up a tolerance for morphine. Not a good trend.

People finding out that ‘sick dog = Valium’ does not help.

p.s. - Vicodin - the back-door drug - it contains hydrocordone and acetaminophen*, making it fine for those many, many MDs who won’t write Sch II (special triplicate script form, cannot be called or faxed, cannot be refilled) but wanted a narcotic effect.
Due to the Stoids in the country, it is now Sch II - meaning those who won’t write Sch II cannot give their patient this option.

Way to go, Bozos!

*- hydrocodone is Sch II, acetaminophen is OTC. It was Sh III (can be called/faxed; refils can be prescribed).

A suppository?

Duplicate

Per post #87, it’s triplicate; isn’t it?

Part of the problem is that some don’t see these as isolated incidents. Remember the “help Stoid stop the pain” campaign?

Part of the problem is that some SHOULD see these as isolated incidents but don’t.

We all have history here, especially those of us who are long-term posters. Chucking stuff up from previous posts, especially if years ago, is disingenuous and does nothing to further the reputation of this board as a well-moderated community.

All it does is hasten our disintegration into a petty and narrow-minded bunch of middle aged crones who have nothing better to do than search on user-names and throw muck.

FFS

There are few userids I can recall.

Stoid is one of the few.

That is NOT a compliment in her case.
In some cases, it IS a compliment.

And who the fuck are you again?

Puh-leeze. So, you’ve managed to remember Stoid. Bully for you…you want a badge or do you just want to show-off how good your memory is by pitting her here?

:dubious:

Bullshit, the chances of having *two *dogs with drug issues are millions to one!

Status epilepticus (cluster seizures) are stopped with valium, but this is not the everyday treatment. What is not all that clear is if this was a breakthrough of seizures while they were still adjusting the dosage of phenobarbital.

But still they come!

She is a proven liar and plagiarizer. If you want to believe her its on you.

Oh nonsense. Part of being a community is that people do remember your history, previous encounters, and general demeanor. You seem to be suggesting that every post by stoid should be approached as a tabula rasa, when in fact her every post is consistent with her long history in the community.

She’s created her reputation her own self; it wasn’t built by posters dredging up out-of-date and out-of-context posts. Her history here in the community is one long and dreary saga of consistent twitdom.
