Who performed this song first? I suppose it may have been a black female vocalist, but I’m not sure…??
Didn’t Carole King write (as well as perform) it? 1971?
Wasn’t it Carole King?
Well this site has a song called It’s Too Late by Carol King off of her Tapestry Album. That would be somewhere around the early 70s. Is this the song you mean?
Thanx
Grr, now I have the words stuck in my head, or at least something like them " it’s to late, it too late, but we really did try to make it…something died inside…blah, blah, blah." I do sort of like her music, though
Yeah, me too.
I’ve been singing the damn song all around the office today.
…something has died inside and I can’t hide and I just can’t fake it.
Or at least those are the lyrics I’ve been annoying everyone with.
One song on an incredible album without any clinkers.
