It’s effing COLD outside–wet and raw, but not raining. Off to [del]freeze my butt off[/del] support my son’s soccer team.
And then errands, cleaning and maybe tonight, a Star Trek movie. I am so ready for the nursing home.

What a great day I had yesterday!
Sat around drinking coffee and watching a movie all morning, then Mr Rebo and I went out for lunch. Then I went and got my car washed, followed by getting my nails done. I met him for drinks about 4:00. We went out to dinner with Dad, and then went back to the bar because it was a friend’s birthday.
I had a blast! Dancing, singing karaoke, shooting pool. There was a large crowd of regulars and we just had a very good time. I don’t even have a hangover!
Gonna go take the dogs to the park because it is gorgeous and sunny and cool out.

I’ve been up and caffienating for awhile. I’m the only one up, so far. I’ve let the doggie do his business, gave him fresh water and some food, and am now just crusing the net.
I’ll have to get going on some chores soon, I imagine.

Spent last evening knitting and watching German TV online. Mystery with a priest-detective. Who’s also a pilot. Not the worst show I’ve ever seen…
This morning was Halloween set up at the park where I volunteer. I was afraid it would be raining, but thankfully, other than a couple of sprinkles when we got there, it was dry. I’m happy to have waterproof boots, since it rained yesterday and it was muddy in places.
Now I need to figure out whether today or tomorrow will be a better day for gardening.

Zooom- some grading done and off to the market!
Bah, first minor snafu with our trip to Hawaii. We had planned on getting two cars. One set of friends had already rented one of the cars, but we were supposed to all get together last weekend and fnalize who’s getting the second car and make the reservations. Due to one of our friends having to go to the ER, and everyone being wiped out, we all cancelled on getting together.
At any rate, I hadn’t heard anything all week, so last night when I came home I just went ahead and made the reservation through Hotwire and then e-mailed everyone to let them know I’d done it. I received an e-mail at 5:30 this morning, from one of the friends saying she had made a reservation too. Hotwire deals are final.
No refunds unless someone has a real emergency that is “verified”. Lack of communication is not an emergency. Sigh…
So, now we’re stuck with three cars. You can’t return them early either. You still eat the entire cost. Dangit.
Oh well, it’s not the end of the world, but still it’s extra money that didn’t need to be spent.
I guess I better quit goofing off. Our friends are coming over tonight to hang out and I should tidy the house.
Well, this had been an expensive day, but we’ve bought furniture for the living room and it’ll be delivered in about 4 weeks. I should have the room painted by then. We also got assorted stuff for the bathroom and some aquarium stuff.
I got the subfloor installed in the bathroom, and tomorrow, the plumbing and tub installation will get done. I don’t know if I’ll do anything else tonight apart from knitting.
Time to feed the zoo… laterz!
Bobbio–Death Chicken is better with thighs, but I hope the personal stash doesn’t mean your own thighs. It’s a fowl based dish and won’t work with beef (man-flesh?).
It was SO cold at the soccer game, and at half time it started to pour, a driving sleet. I was soaked and I had an umbrella. Those poor kids (and ref). #2 son came home, took a long hot bath and is now napping on the couch. He doesn’t sound too good, either–I think this made his almost gone cold worse. I also took a hot bath and napped after running errands. I just never felt warm until after my nap.

OK, I know you’re dying to know - here’sthe sofa we got. We also ordered the love seat, and the chair and ottoman. They are *soooooooooooooooooo *comfy!! I’d have preferred a pattern in the upholstery, but we’ll get a bold pattern area rug and add color with curtains and other stuff.
It was funny - we just stopped to look, and this was the second set we looked at in the store. We loved it, so we ordered it. Now we just need to work out tables, lamps, and the rug. Plus I’m still thinking about a window seat. I dunno…

I think fried cornbread is called corn dodgers around these parts. I can’t really remember because I don’t like it, so I never make it.
