Seriously, when you can no longer even hope to remember approximately how many you’ve had (I think I’m in the mid-three figures, is as close as I can guess), this becomes a hopeless exercise. There’s got to be a point at which your chain extends to more people than there are in the world, or even more than there have ever been.

I remember reading somewhere on Wikipedia that, aside from virgins and mutually one-partner-only relationships, basically the entire human population is in one big sexual network.
The thing that’s a little misleading about that website is that STIs transmit at a rate MUCH lower than 100%. Over six degrees of separation, the odds of getting a lot of them from any particular first link in the chain are arbitrarily close to zero. Of course, your own odds go way up the more direct partners you have…
I’ve had 8 partners, but according to their ages I’ve had 5,103,106 direct and indirect partners, which is around twice as many as average for my age. That seems odd. I’m 35, 8 seems like a nice and proper number for a female that age to me. It must be because I like older men that skewed it.
