Best way to where? Chumley’s? The MMA? Billdo’s place?

Ooops sorry, Looking for the best way to get to
Chumley’s, am working that day and will head down after. If its the Bronx zoo on Sunday,Count me in

CWN, where are you coming from? Are you driving? Taking the subway?

I believe the closest subway line is the 1 or 9. I’ll be taking the D to West 4th myself.

I’m still on for Chumley’s and I do believe PattyCake is as well. I probably will not be able to make the museum trip now, but if that changes I’ll find you guys and get there at the right time. You’ll know it’s me thanks to my entourage of attendants and minions. Also the delusions of grandeur.

I have not yet convinced my boyfriend to join us but I really think he might. We shall see…

A voice from the vast regions of ‘Vacation-land’ looms through the darkness . . .

I’ll be there. Definitely afirmitive. I will be there. . . Chumley’s on 6 Jan, 2001.

Falc, keep your panting to a minimum. You’re drooling on the floor

Tripler
I’ll post more tomorrow

MY panting??? Look at your own pile of drool before making fun of ME, hon.

(And glad to see you back! hugs and a smooch)

actually, darling, not only am I afraid they’ll notice it, I’m afraid they’ll throw money in my hat when I’m not looking.

It’s better looking today, although my father, who stopped by, made me feel oh-so-much-better by declaring: “Jesus, that doesn’t look good.” Unfortunately, one of the side effects of the antibiotics is nausea, so I’ve been in bed feeling sorry for my face and my stomach. My friend made some Ben Hur/leaporcy crack, and I thought about rubbing my face all over her. And not in a good way. Feh. But I have to go to work tomorrow night, and I think that will be the deciding factor. If I can cover it with make-up by tomorrow (oh, Kevyn Ancon, be with me) then I’ll be in New York. If I scare small children and people avoid my counter like the plauge, no NYC for me.

I need more Ginger Ale. Being sick equals a phisological need for Ginger Ale. It’s a rule.

ps: Excellent attempt at a Parkerism, Lux. She is unquestionably number one on Dead People I’d Like to Meet.

::tucks huge-ass cartoon tongue back into mouth::

Heheh, whoops. Sorry. Anyone got a mop??

I’m still wearing my NJ Devils jersey, and I invite everyone that’s got one (or any hockey jersey for that matter) to do the same . . .

Tripler
Red, white, and black are my gang colors. . .

Whoever is doing the seating is going to put me at the opposite end from this flirt-fest, right? I mean, should we sit by favorite forum or something? Cuz there ain’t no way I’m going to be able to hold my lobster down with this going on.

Blech.

CWN, the best way is to take the shuttle to Times Square and then take the 1 or 9 downtown to Christopher St. Which Metro-North line do you take? I take the Harlem (blue) line.

You lie like a rug. Don’t think I don’t appreciate it.

Anyway, the important part was not my inept stab at comedy. The important part, and I think Biggirl’s got my back here, was that a little dermatological mishap is no reason to skip the SDMB social event of the season. 'Sides, if they try to cart you off to a leper colony, you’ll have 49 rowdy web geeks ready to hold the bastards off whilst you make your escape out the back.

I’m sorry, Manny. I’ll be better behaved in person, I promise.

Well I just got Amtrak tickets. I’m coming YAY!!! Hehe, how could I miss out on a fest [[[[[[[THIS BIG]]]]]]] !

I’m on train 86 headed up. I’ll meet up with you Opal, and Undead dude, when you hop on in DC. Hama? you coming along on the train too?

I’m planning to jump on a return train at 2 am on the 7th. I can change my ticket for free. I suppose I’ll change it if I have a good reason to stay overnight.

I’ll be at dinner, of course, but beforehand I’m not sure what I’m gonna do. I’ll prolly wander 'round the city a bit, or I may jump in with the museum clique. Oh well, I have a few days to think 'bout what to do for those 4 hours.

This should be fun.

OOooh, I have a digital camera everyone so watch out!

I think we should sit by favorite saxophone and reed preference.

Like, I’ll volunteer to head up the Tenor Table, Number Three-and-a-Half reed. SaxFace can handle the Tenor Table, Number Two reed. Joe Cool can be in charge of the Alto Table, Number Three reed.

Any untoward flirting at my table (this would be flirting not directed toward myself) will lead to confiscation of Cork Grease. And banishment to the Limp Reed people.

I hope NOT. What fun would it be?

Planning on Chumley's, not the museum. Coming in LIRR/ 1 downtown.

Oooh, Silo! I’m so glad you can make it. Do join us for the museum tour, and please do stay overnight! There are many couches available, I think.

I’m probably going to be taking a redeye train…arrive around 9 am or so, and try to fumble my way to Billdo’s in time to catch the museum tour…so you won’t be seeing me on that morning train, methinks. I have to go get my ticket tomorrow and cross my fingers a lot.

WOO. Honestly can’t believe it took me ages of agonizing to go to Maryland for an afternoon, and I’m about to bop off to NYC for a weekend…holy cow. Talk about an out-of-body experience.

<still trying to think of a decent feline-proof “thank you for letting me sleep on your floor, Maeglin” little giftie to bring…hrmies.>

Oh, and put me down for Bari, #3 reed, thankyouverymuch.

I’ll be there. Plan on me for the museum tour as well.

Well, ya know, I was thinking about coming but it’s just as well I’m not after all 'cause I might have tried to flirt with you. Heh.

Nacho, I’ll be there to catch you at the gate, just let me know what train your taking… and from where exactly…

Anyone else need escort service to the Museum?
[sup]Silly perverts! I meant joining you en route via subway[/sup]

does this mean i have to wear my jersey to work on Sat? oh twist my arm
