The NYC Dopefest Morning After Thread (Linked! Don't Delete!)

Hey folks. Great Dopefest last night. NYC now has the record for most attendees (44 confirmed by Tripler when I left last night). KHespos and I had an awesome time and it was really cool to meet all of you face to face.

Normally, I’d post a photo gallery to the Hespos.com site, but KHespos and I have a lot of web development work to do today, so I just zipped up the photos and threw them up on the server. Hi all. We’re here at Billdo’s. Nacho is in the shower, Hama and Billdo are getting bagels, and Jeff/Overengineer is walking Spot the Wonderpup.

Amazingly, I balanced my substance intake so perfectly last night that I don’t have a hangover at all.

Nacho’s out of the shower, saw me writing that I don’t have a hangover, and said “Woohoo! Me neither! It’s a freaking miracle!”

Lemme tell you, Cecil looks nothing like I thought he would. Jack Dean Tyler kind of does, though. I have a horrible image in my memory of the guy who got the JDT name tag with his pants casually undone in the bar, but I’m hoping that was just the DTs making me see stuff.

I got up early so I could get a head start on the day. KHespos is in the next room designing the logo and navigation for my new site. I’m designing the architecture and dealing with my new purchase of vBulletin (trying to integrate it with my hosting provider). vBulletin is the same BB software that the SDMB uses.

Not to say I didn’t have a crippling hangover this morning…Who was responsible for all those vodka shots last night? I swigged four huge glasses of water, 3 aspirins and a Tylenol this morning and I’m STILL feeling it…

I’m not looking forward to putting together all this IKEA furniture, either.

It was great to meet you all! I had a really good time, although, sadly, no one grabbled my ass.

As with any event involving dopers, it was an educational experience. I learned, for instance, that I hate tequilla.

I believe that Manhattan was responsible (bad word choice perhaps) for those vodka shots. I’ve been slow all day today. No, my activities for the day went at normal speed, -I- was slow. Thank you all for coming to the dopefest, and next time we have to get more people. Has the NotesNazi™ posted the notes yet?

Wow, I guess Rosebud and I left a bit too early and missed all the hookups, but it was still fun to meet such a nice, fun, friendly group. And I see my left arm in one of the pictures, which proves I was there ;).
